Myth caps doesn't mean you can't gear multiple classes
This discussion has been happening for quite a while, and it's starting to annoy me for a single reason: It's bullshit. There, I said. Bullshit. And here's why:
You can get iLv 70 gear for every class with no restriction. (Darklight / Crafted)
You can get relic for every class with no restrictions.
With full DL you can already start Coil on that class, easily do T1 and T2, and depending on your skill / team comp / class, might even be useful on T4. Not as optmal as your "main" class with iLv 90 gear, sure, but just that already gives you a lot of flexibility.
The problem here is that people want to iLv 90 everything, and think anything other than that is "useless", when it's not that case. But, let's not forget a little something everyone discussing this so called issue seems to forget:
The Crystal Tower
Yep. The dreaded lower level raid so many people are dismissing as useless before it's even released. They're completely ignoring the fact that it will be not only a stepping stone for people who are having trouble starting coil on DL, but it will also serve as a alt class gearing point even for people who already have a good number of Coil drops on their main class.
So, please, stop thinking only iLv 90 gear is useful, stop assuming you need to be max everything to be useful, and stop assuming having to have a focus role is a bad thing. After all, even if you can gear everything, I'm 100% sure you will still perform better as a player in your so called "main" class, regardless of gear, so even all gear being equal you still won't perform the same on every job unless you're either a genius or just play badly with every class.
TL;DR: Stop crying about not being able to gear multiple classes, Crystal Tower is your alt gear source while Myth / Coil is your main class gear source. Even without CT, full DL is already good enough for 99% of the game's content, including early Coil turns.
I'm glad you have to do it this way so you can't easily cap every class, you will have your "main" class, but you *can* get acceptable gear for everything else. With full iLv 80~ish from CT you can perform well enough on your alt classes. And, given enough time, you can eventually max ILV everything, just not in a month or two.
