I am torn on this issue. In some ways 1.0 had better graphics and there are things I miss, but in other ways 2.0 seems to be better. I like the variety of scenery in 2.0, but I miss some of the texture features of 1.0 especially on gear. But hell I miss the UI and battle of 1.23 so I probably shouldn't speak. I also miss the mining and crafting in 1.0. Overall I think 2.0's upgrades and utility make up for what we lost.
