While I understand your sentiment, there are good reasons why CCP stopped with the whole dual client thing - it simply costed too much, both financially and in terms of developmental and support resources to make it worthwile.
: Thanks for the Links but as far as i can see he only admits Direct X 11 and a new Client (probably). I still don't see for a Fact that we get e.g. better Animation or Texture quality. It is like upgrading an engine and using none of the upgrades. And i fear that they'll do something like this.
These are professionals, you have to remember that they were working to rework a game from scratch, making the game a feast on the eyes wasn't a Primary goal, but a Secondary one. A seconary goal they now have the time and freedom to expand upon.
Animations won't be changing, the removal of the Inertia system was to avoid the 'Animation lock' and to improve ease of game play, they won't be changing this. I really am not going to find the developers response on this, but you can trust me that it won't be changing.
Textures aren't indicative of the engine, you can scale texture accordingly. One of the planned additions for the DirectX 11 client is higher resolution textures, as most modern GPU's can afford more memory real estate for these textures than your 'Standard PC', DirectX 11 isn't needed for this, it's just something they're doing along-side it.
Naoki Yoshida in game during the Alpha and beta stated on multiple occasions to us that they weren't happy with the graphics and wanted to improve on them in the future, they're a clever team but they do have limitations as I said before, they wanted a game that worked and that everyone could play, and now that it's done and released, they have the freedom to improve upon and release an update to brush up the graphics.
This WILL (and or could) include;
High Resolution Textures
Light/Shadow Casting Improvements
Particle System Improvements
DirectX 11 Surface Shaders
Stomping your foot and saying "I want this now" won't get you it, but it is planned and on it's way, just be patient you haven't got too long to wait.
I hope you read my whole first post in which i clearly stated "i know that we are getting a DX11 version".
And I don't want it "NOW". I understand that they did a total rework i'm not ignorant i don't expect them to ship the graphic patch 1 month after release (like many do for endgame content).
It's just that i am worried about the Content of the Graphical overhaul !
That's the reason why i started this Thread. It is such a tiny word : could. And i would like clarification on that. It's not that i am stomping "YOSHI TELL ME NOW WHAT WE WILL GET" its more of like an "Hey SE i am a bit curious and worried, what will the DX11 Patch bring along ?" Well and obviously the thoughts of the community about it.

They mentioned in the last live letter, that their lips were sealed on information about it as nothing was final and that we'd just have to wait for them to release more information in their own time, thats why I mentioned for you to just wait and abide your time.I hope you read my whole first post in which i clearly stated "i know that we are getting a DX11 version".

When the time is ready for them to release information on the DirectX 11 and Open GL PS4 version, they'll tell us.
With an upcoming live letter, you could post a question asking about it there actually, that would be a good way to grab attention, because at the moment you're not going to get anything via the forum reps I don't think.
The "I want it now" was in reference to the "I want information now, gimmie gimmie" not the update itself.
And I only say that because they've already mentioned they're not providing information about it yet, that's all.

Let's hope your question gets noticed and Yoshi spills some beans then. (pending he has any to spill)

yes, bring all the best effect there
introduce 24 man raid
the guy's pc keeps lagging
complain SE doing a shit job with server
complain SE doing a shit job with graphic engine
I can totally see that....
Reduce Effects and Graphic Quality if it comes to this for the 24 Raid ? It's not like there is no "Options" Tab in System menu![]()
I hate to tell you this ... but these are the best animations I've seen for any MMO. It's the only one that has made humans look normal and not like some awkward person with a stick for a spine.
I never said the Animation sucked did i ? I just want >more< variaty and better onesAtleast for a Game that gets to be released on PS4.
Animations in 1.0 used real life motion capture. ARR does not appear to.
Animations are not bad in ARR but they are not as good as 1.0. The effects of spells and such I would say are much better in ARR, but for physical character movement ARR was a fairly substantial downgrade.
