Also, I am sure in the early days of FFXI the first RDM/DRK or WHM/SMN might have been considered "gimped". However they, and many other non-intuitive job combination have proven to be very effective in many aspects of both party and solo gameplay.

We ask that we keep the same freedom of experimentation that we had in FFXI in FFXIV. Taking that freedom of experimentation away would be somewhat of a step backwards in many players opinion.
    Quoted in the first post.

But to be honest Sorel this whole topic now feels just like the debate on Missing Genders.

Its One Side who wants the freedom. Vs One side who isn't impacted by said freedom and wants to restrict players from that freedom for their own selfish reasons.

I have shown how a Paladin with a Lance in FFXI can be a great tank. Especially on Birds. Its the most popular choice. Hell you don't even need /War if you do it, you can just use /sam and use saigan and third eye.

Just because you don't like a choice for some preconceived notion doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to use it. If we do use it and it doesn't work obviously we wont use it anymore. Thats the whole point of experimentation.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
