So that was you. First, I dont know what it is youre claiming in that video. I can barely make any sense from the comment.

sorry, the video is recorded on a potato. Im not sure what Im seeing. Its not that hard to land venomous bite 3 seconds after Windbite. I mean it is a 2.5 cast time. So even if you were spamming that button, it would be at a minimum 2.5 seconds after the first. Factor in some lag time and yea, 3 seconds apart doesnt sound like a big deal to me. Not sure exactly what you are trying to say.

Try setting it to 720 so you can actually see things. First, when I apply Windbiter, the "+Windbiter" text hasn't even faded before the damage ticks. No way that's 3 seconds. Then, after the second Windbiter tick, I apply Venomous Bite while the Windbiter tick is still showing. No way that's a 3 second difference, either. Third, you can clearly see that their durations (both 18 seconds) are off-set by 5 seconds the entire way, yet they continue to tick together.

Actually, I have done some more research on dots for FF14 arr, and I concede that I was wrong and that FF14 arr dots work in a very different way than from other MMOs.

Even though my dot assumption was wrong, I am still correct in my original analysis that SMN cannot have more than 51 ticks from Bio 2 in simple rotation Bio 2 --> Miasma. And this is because the only way you can have 60, is if you clip your dots (only idiots do that). Do not clip your dots. Without clipping your dots, you can have a maximum of 51 ticks in that simple rotation.

In other words, BLM > SMN
