I'll admit that it's kind of creepy being called an addict, but you may be correct.

To the people requesting that this thread be locked: I personally think that MMO addiction is a relevant topic and that an MMO forum is the perfect place to discuss it.

No doubt, but this is going nowhere. Look around - very few here are taking this seriously. This thread is hurting the topic more than it's helping.

I have. And it's practicly the same story every time. One person tries to say something sensible, whether that be listing the good things about the game instead of complaining or, like in this case, casting light on a well known problem, it turns into a feast of picking on other people. At the moment this forum isn't very well suited for this debate, as you can see. I would very much like your point to be taken by people, but this aint the place for it.

Those who were actually discussing seriously got bombarbed by "OK SURE BUT I AIN'T TALKING WITH YOU GIMME SOME REAL ADDICT TO DISCUSS WITH WHY ARE YOU ALL SO DEFENSIVE I MUST'VE HIT A NERVE".
