I'm confused. It took them one year to make Mass Effect 2, or to fix it? I haven't followed the game, so I have no idea.

All game development takes a long time, it's been a standard since the 70s. The time varies but as technology grew so did development time. Most games these days take 1.5-5 years to produce, MMORPG wise, updates takes months to years to produce and you generally hear about it when it's about to be released.
Agreed. Unless you're talking about games like Diablo III which is going on 8+ years of development! Also, it's a Blizzard game for those forum goers that think Blizzard is the golden child and can accomplish anything in half the time it is taking SE. News flash: They can't.All game development takes a long time, it's been a standard since the 70s. The time varies but as technology grew so did development time. At least when Blizzard releases something it's polished and fun.. SE is slow on updates and most of their recent patches were pathetic. At the same time I think most of their patches weren't good because they were working on some big changes at the same time. Let's hope patch 1.18 will be bigger and add something good to the game.Agreed. Unless you're talking about games like Diablo III which is going on 8+ years of development! Part of your post is based on your own opinion, but I will breeze past that. Most people on these forums agree that FFXIV was rushed to release. With that said, the game is still very much in a DEVELOPMENT phase. Therefore the "update schedule" is far different for this game than for MMOs that are ready on release. SE is not just updating content, they are still developing the game which accounts for their seemingly painfully slow process. At least when Blizzard releases something it's polished and fun.. Chrono Cross was amazing
Xenogears was amazing.
Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, Tactics, Crystal Chronicles and Tactics 2 were amazing.
Romancing Saga 1 - 3 were amazing.
Saga Frontier was great.
Valkyrie Profile/Vagrant Story was amazing.
The World Ends with You was amazing
Kingdom Hearts was great.
Dissidia/Duodecim was amazing.
So yes, SE does make great fun games.
Did I say SE makes bad games? They used to make very good games but you can't deny that Blizzard is still making good games. You can like or dislike their games but at least they are playable.Seiken Densetsu 1 - 4 was amazing.

They can, they have a much bigger dedicated team and well they do have infinite resources as compared to SE. Also diablo III has not been in development for 8+years, thats like saying SC2 was in development for the last 12 years, wish is not true, they only started development 5-4 yrs agoAgreed. No one has infinite resources and I'd even guess that SE has much more resources available to them considering they work on a million games at a time, I just think Blizzard manages their resources better and don't overdo it by concentrating on one or two games at a time. They can, they have a much bigger dedicated team and well they do have infinite resources as compared to SE.
