Man, these next 40 days are gonna suck in these forums..

Also, you people never cease to amaze me with your near limitless ability when it comes to complaining about stuff that isn't even out yet, AND to ask about things then complain when we get.


Time for some reality check

1 - "Instanced content sucks"

According to a poll answered by the COMMUNITY, the majority wants instanced content. Sorry if you happen to have answered "no", but that's democracy for ya.

2 - "WOW CLONE WOW CLONE WOW CLONE111"

a) - We do not know exactly how any of these will work and

b) - If being a "Wow Clone" means having CONTENT, then sure, "Wow clone wow clone weeeee"

3 - SE is so slow! I could program "X" in "SE - 30 days time!".

Rushing stuff over was one of the main reasons why we are even having this discussion now.

4 - But they just expect us to wait and wait and wait?

Yes. Deal with it or go play something else while you wait. SE could care less, we aren't paying monthly fees and eventually the post-PS3-release players will. They are ensuring that THESE players will want to pay.

5 - WHERE'S MY ULTRA UBER ELITIST CONTENT?

Somewhere down the line, when SE is sure that new players will not have to suffer the same things we had to, ie the absolute lack of content.

6 - Casual crap!

I'm sorry if everyone isn't like you and have god knows how many hours to play each day. SE is catering first to people with 2-3 hours to play each day and THEN to the lucky souls with more free time in their hands. As someone who recently got a new job AND have to go to college as well, I hope they keep this philosophy when it comes to high level content, but of course with added difficulty, because YES, it - IS - possible to do easily accessible stuff that's actually hard.

I'm confused by what your definition of "instanced" is. Each Dynamis and Promy were only accessible by your immediate party and if you exited you'd have to start all over again. How are these not instanced?

Anyone with an hourglass could have entered your Dynamis, it was not limited to your "immediate" party, but only limited to each Dynamis limit (up to 64 people for some), but yes, i would say that's an instance.

However, perhaps some people do not consider Dynamis as an instance because only 1 group (1 hourglass can be broken into multiples) can go in at one time, that means different groups could not do same Dynamis at same time.

(I do not know if that changed, I'm away from FFXI for year and a half and if dynamis is working different now, I apologize for wrong info).

I'm slowly losing all hope for this game/community everytime someone responds with "OMG they're copying WoW."

Seriously... Shit is getting old. If the game ends up like WoW... That would be a good thing.

Anyway, too bad for the relatively long wait, but if the update will be as fat as Yoshida seems tyo imply, I'm all for it. The screenies look great. I just hope the quests in thosehubs will be nice and varied

seems promising, shame we have to wait till mid june but all good. That beastmen tribe camp was awesome looking. Glad to see Eorzea is becoming more then empty forests and deserts. Im not sure why people are complaining about giving lower level players content.. some people seem to feel as if they have a right at level 50 to have way more content then everyone else. Im all for end game content, but if the road to 50 is nothing but a grind, thats just a boring game.

Well the letter said R30 and R50 dungeons. The 'and R50' part just got blocked out...

I would be a happy post-PS3 Release player with all this that is content coming out.

I don't know why people are freaking out over instanced dungeons...I was doing BCNM 40's when WoW was first released. Just saying.
