PGL was the only class I didn't try out during the beta, and I wish I did. They look like a lot of fun, always being active, but I have question. Are PGL and MNK capable of soloing well? Good mix of offensive and defensive skills?

Once I reach level 50, i plan on doing extensive testing in opening rotations to maximize the combo potential without issues. it will include a comprehensive macro list, and such. Just gotta get to that point in the game where I can do so.

Yep... it has a good overal DPS and some decent survival skills, besides it has a high dodge rate!

Well i enjoyed playing pugilist in the game and after reading this thread look's like i am gonna be spending a lot of time on the practice dummies so i can do this right. Hopefully i will be able to make the Monk Brotherhood proud of me, if not then i will look at other job's.

In my opinion they are very good at soloing with things like second wind, feather foot, haymaker etc. Fists of earth later on is good for soloing as well. Lancer might be better due to feint, leg sweep and life surge but pug isn't bad at it.

Nobody knows the requirements with 100% certainty because the job quests haven't been available in betas. It's most probably one or the other of the cross ability classes in any case.

It's going to be 30PGL and 15LNC.
