2 - The way to go monk was lv 30 PUG and lv 15 LNC... BUUUTTTT... i v hearded that now to get to MNK u need lv 15 MRD instead of LNC... is that info 100% correct?

Nobody knows the requirements with 100% certainty because the job quests haven't been available in betas. It's most probably one or the other of the cross ability classes in any case.

Hi all, I started a PGL because I really want to be a Monk. What classes more do I need to be able to become one? Is there a quest to lead you in that direction? Or do I just stop being PGL and start other class? And then?

As you can understand I am very new to this game. Hopefully someone can help me.

You need a level 30 pugilist and 15 lancer. Monk can also use abilities from Warriors.
Every 5 levels you get a class quest from the pugilist guild. At 30, you'll do the last one and then you'll see a new quest at the entrance to the pugilist guild which will lead you to becoming a monk.
You will not be able to do this quest if you don't have a lancer at level 15(at least).
Also, the monk soul is equipped (like a piece of armor) when you're pugilist. It's more of a specialization than a whole new class. If you level to 50 as a pugilist, then your monk level will be the same and vice versa.
