So please calm down. Yes, more information would be great. But so would playing the game!
On that website, I click on my first video. I got 9:28 worth of tons of info about the game. The world, the setting, the combat, what they were going for, the end goal, PvP. Also they talk about the roles in combat, how to increase stats, how they want people to level (right down to what they want you to think while doing it).

For instances and raiding they show how some of the encounters work ( for example a boss doing earthquake and the party having to avoid etc). PvP, where it takes place and why, as well as some clips of he battle zone and people fighting. At the very end they specifically say how those are the BASICS of the game and how it will function.

I love ARR but the amount of basic things we dont know when the game will be out around the same time as ESO is kind of ridiculous at this point. We have had patience since August of last year, i dont that argument is valid anymore. Again i want to finish off by stating that i say all of this with the upmost respect for everyone working on it and Yoshi-P himself.

That is true. The Bethesda/Zenimax team has a metric ton of videos and interviews on what they are doing and why they are doing it. Not so much written down though, just races and faction info. Nothing on classes or abilities, though. So I wouldn't go so far as to say they made more information available than SE.

If ESO didn't have the race/faction restriction, I might even give it a chance. But they do .... and I don't want to get into that here. I'll have that fight on their forums.

This^. In the very first video they showed the direction of the game, the PvP goals, the server structure, how the PvE works (dynamic combat with things to avoid, etc. while in every ARR released video the players just stand on the place.. 0 movements required, and in the era of action games, that's not a good marketing) .

All that in the first 9 min. video. But ppl here, just prefer to defend the SE politics: less you know better is. :/

Guys if you keep saying it's early for this kind of information i'm asking for, i'm sorry to say but you don't know how much about mmo's (without offense ofcourse, but most ppl here just played XI and XIV.. )

The basic information (foundations, ideas, or call anyhow you want) are given when a game is announced.. Look TESO first video.
Other examples: From GW2 announcement you knew that it will have RvR massive PvP, dynamic combat, innovative PvE without class trident etc etc.
SWTOR: great and always voice acting story lines, classic WoW style combat, and so on.

For XIV we're almost in beta and we don't know anything on pvp, anything on character development like revamped job system, any spec/build system (are we gonna to be again all clones with 0 customization like 1.0 ? )?

It's pretty ridicolous that you know more about the direction of a game "just announced" like TESO, then ARR.

    p.s Good Morning

    FFXIV will mainly be PvE.
Free Companies will be able to engage into battle (large scale PvP) for a castle.
Otherwise PVP will be in the coliseum only.
The class system will most likely not differ from 1.0, check the official website.
    There's your info.
There will be a dev commentary video as well. (Check the blog).

The first TESO teaser/trailer did say NOTHING at all. It just was the logo.

You don't know SE marketing strategies, we had "Making of a Realm" in 1.0 so just wait and see what happens

Giving out lots of information early on isn't necessarily a good thing though. Good examples are WAR and Vanguard, both handed out a whole lot of info pre-release, but in the end, many of the more unique features turned out to be difficult to implement, so they had to either remove them, or dumb them down considerably. There's a much greater negative impact when you promise something and can't keep it, than not announcing a feature or announcing it fairly late. I'd love to see some more stuff as well, but I'd rather not they talk about possible features that may get canned ..

And, actually, there's actually quite a bit of info out there if you look for it, it's just not gathered all in 1 spot. Just re-watch/re-read some of the live letters and you'll know that most of the main story will be voice acted (they even said why they don't want to voice act everything), there will continue to be both classes and jobs, screenshots etc. from character creation show much more customisation options, etc. etc. There is info there, it's just spoon fed to you.

Also, while TESO may have been 'just' announced, it's been in development longer than ARR has

There is a difference between XIV, TESO and SWTOR. XIV won't suck.

On that note, although being "just announced", TESO is starting beta fairly shortly, so one would presume it has been in development for about the duration ARR has been, and I can guarantee that the people following this game from when it was "announced" know a lot more about ARR then we do about TESO.

We don't have a marketing trailer that shows the "best bits" of the game like TESO does yet, but we do have extensive information about the battle system, the environment, the lore/storyline and generally how the game will function.

We may not have as much "width" but we have "depth" when it comes to knowledge about the game. TESO you may vaguely know lots of little things about the general concept, ARR you should know (if you have been following since the first announcement) lots of "big" things. Just because your specific questions have been chosen to be kept under the radar for now, doesn't mean you don't know much about the game.

I also daresay you don't have these kind of answers yet because these kinds of questions will depend on the community's response to beta.
