Speaking of Lalafells.... Children please??

Like the topic title says. Can we PLEASE have child-Lalafell that don't look identical to the adults? It's very strange and confusing to run into a Lalafell NPC that is clearly meant to be a child but looks ever bit an adult Lalafell (not any smaller or anything).

Other races have children NPCs that look like children...why not Lalafell? Surely they aren't BORN that size... (Ouch)


And while we're on the subject, some Roe and Miqote child NPCs would be cool too.
Just this topic is mostly for Lalafell, because the child Lalafell NPCs exist...they just don't look like children for some reason.

Just kidding. I want to see children NPCs. They make the world feel more believable.

Speaking of children, it would be nice if you could make your characters look visibly older/younger. Not quite children, but maybe teenage looking ones.

Yeah, it seems really lazy to just go 'Well Lalafell already kinda look like children, so we don't need to make child models'.

Yeah, just wanted to point that out so they can't use the cop-out of making lalafell models all-around-ages everything base model.

There are no child Roe in XIV so far. I don't recall if there is a child Miqote either, but I doubt it. But they would likely make child models for them if they put them in as children...but as I said, with the Lalafell, there ARE child NPCs, but they're lazily using adult models for them.

The thing is, SE has stated in the lore of the race that lalafell don't seem to physically age appearance wise - I refer to the main FFXIV website here:

The Lalafell are a folk both rotund and diminutive. Small by any race's standards and possessed of a childlike countenance, it proves difficult for non-Lalafell to gauge an individual's age with any degree of accuracy.

So there you have it - the lalafell are meant to look like children even when they're adults and hence do not show physical signs of aging (by the same token, I presume miqo'te don't seem to physically age either as far as appearance goes, as there are no 'elderly' miqo'te ever seen, only young adults.).
