I was wondering about that, and still not 100 percent sure how Yoshi will be implementing more jobs. Because let's say they implement a thief job, and if a thief will come from an existing class like PUG or something, by than everyone's PUG would be 50, there for once you unlock your thief job and do the 5 quests to get your new thief abilities, than your thief would now be 50 as your PUG is already 50.
I always assumed they would always add new classes for each job, like maybe a Rogue class that turns to a thief at 30.
Like some of you already said: We have branches to classes and they're called jobs. In future we will hopefully get more jobs per class. That's how it works in FFXIV and it is good that way. And the way how classes and jobs are levelled are fine too.
Costumizing classes and jobs and adding more jobs per class is the way to go. Especially make the difference between classes and jobs more noticable (and classes more useful).
Never thought about that, but now that you force me to think about it... you're absolutely right.I was wondering about that, and still not 100 percent sure how Yoshi will be implementing more jobs. that was already the case when they added jobs. lv50 lancers got lv 50 DRG. It's only those 5 skills that make the difference anyways. And there wasn't much point in using DRG until lv 40-45 anyways; with more ability slots, and once you could use some DRG skills.I was wondering about that, and still not 100 percent sure how Yoshi will be implementing more jobs. Ya they'd need to add new classes for some Jobs i guess. Making Thief from PUG doesn't make much sense.
