generally i think mobs that have Hard and lengthy battles should always, or atleast most of the time give you something worth your while.

Take FFXI for example, Charybdis took a whole party or more to kill unless you were a specific subset of jobs. the risk of dying, and another party claiming it was high. But the Joyeuse dropped 100% off of it. that's risk vs reward.

Then take Leaping Lizzy, a relatively low monster, that's easily killed by nearly any job above level 10. Taking near no risk to kill, spawning very often, had a lousy drop rate on the Bounding boots, again, risk vs reward. Less risk, less time, less effort, less reward, and vice versa for high risk and high effort.
I think this is a good interpretation of my point. Thanks Z

No Visch, I don't expect an absolute, 100% drop of the exact item I expect to get. And please don't bring your attitude from previous threads like that. Just makes you look bad.

Chard. These fights do not look like a "joke" at all. They looked very serious and quite a lot of effort was put into them. At this point, before patching or anything, these monsters should be dropping something(s) of value imo. The time invested alone merits it.
