Mage teleportation felt out of date even during FFXI's prime.

What I think SE should do is make lore stones and have interesting information on the area and people in it, along with an achievement in finding them all.

In feedback, I noticed people look for the easy way out of things. Just my personal view on how people give feedback.

Tempt people all you want with airship and ship battles, experience and common sense has taught me that people tend to follow the path of least resistance. I was sad to hear they are giving us unlimited teleports. I hope they add a cool down or something. This is just my impression from 1.0 though. If they have significantly reduced the amount of points you can teleport too from 1.0 then maybe it won't be so bad. I know many people will think I am asking to waste time by having to hoof it more, but again, my personal opinion is that being forced to travel a little is an immersion (yeah I said it!) thing. Just this galka's opinion though. I am happy to wait and see how it pans out when the final version is released a few years from now

What ever Yoshi decides is fine with me. Making it more interesting in all areas of the game would be great for the hardcore gamers and casual gamers alike. Anima no anima it's whatever, as long as there's adventure for an adventurer, why complain?

All of FFXI felt out of date, and I liked FFXI lol

That said certain ideas dont "update", its very rpg to have mages teleport and not some magic hodoo voodo like FFXIV.

I'm always amazed at how I can teleport across the world at level 1, I'm always wondering why I havent made anima cannons and swords and other abilities (even the lore to try and explain anima feels very sketchy to me - I think I could have gone with it lore wise if it was some super uber transportation system you earned in 2 years of playing the game that only 10% of the population had).

Also starlord, i'd suggest playing something like gw2 to grasp what dynamic event is about, to make the world seems alive, events dont just rrandomly happens, its a series of chain events.

Example, how does a raid to ixalis HQ by twin adder armies happens?
It might starts with gathering supplies for the armies in 2 different hamlet, which means 2 FATe is happening at same time.

It will starts 3 mini FATE in 3 different areas in black shroud to overtake outposts. This means there will be 3 FATE tthat will eends at seperate time, the longer each one took, the longer main HQ raid will happens. This travelling time will each adds uup to the delay.

After outposts, you would need to clear and escort each commander from 3 outposts to ixali HQ, then inside the HQ you might nneed to ssecure 2 differrnt parts of ixxali HQ to raise your banner before everyone come together tto beat last boss

this chain events effect one another and you cant have static starttime because a second slower somewhere, you are slowing down everyone else
    .
I would think it would be much more epic if you were taken with the armies and plans.

After you get to a base camp and you gather in the surrounding areas you move out.

Rather then "teleporting" and arbitrating the world to seconds, having to ride in trains and airships and caravans with the npc soliders as you move to march onto the gates of the beastmen.

I hated that. Dying cost money. It cost money to travel everywhere, even within an area.

I had to pay to play...

i'm glad it's gone and had a feeling they would abolish it. really the walking around to places from the places you port is enough. getting to places only one time then being able to go there instantly is enough. ffxi had it just right.

if there is content at the ships i'd do it. really it would need to be constantly changing content though. that is if they expect it to have people still in a few months. or maybe make drops from such contents things that are on a timer. aka food that is better then most but need to do content. or materia for gear that after a few days or weeks it disappears and you would need to get another one.

but lol when he said another sea monster i had a big smile on face. hehe.

im all for this change , and as far as the "small world feel" thats down to the player in a way, if im not in a hurry i would be taking the boat or airship anytime just because theres going to be content involved which wasent there in 1.0, 1.0 airship travel is almost instant, skip cs - skip cs - small load- your there.

and the boat ride was too bland, nothing to do but look at lightening or mess about in the ship lol

so im certainly happy there will be things to do on the ride, looking forward to more info

there will definitely be far fewer aths since the world will be smaller. im guessing there will be one ath per zone. maybe small zones wont have one at all making you tele to a neighboring zone and run over there.
