Really though, the solution is to have a dedicated team of GMs that respond to spam reports within a few minutes and can issue temporary suspensions if they find that it's really spam.

But I doubt that's going to be the case, given SE's very poor track record with completely powerless/useless GMs.

When FFXI came to the states it was pretty crazy - but maybe they just wanted to troll Americans I dunno.. I got put in GM jail for 5 minutes without being told why, they just let me run around in circles going WHERE TEH FUCK AM I lol, I thought I fell through the world honestly.

Found out that my 5 "LFG for a party quest" messages sent over a period of 3 minutes was too much and I got a warning.. that is after the GM decided to appear ominously (after 5 minutes) and be like
"Do you know why you here"
"Whats here?"
"You where spamming"
"....? Have you ever looked for group before?"
"This is a warning, dont spam"

Had a friend have to change his name from Lafaygts to Lafay (Lafay being his real name, and GTS for his car type). Because someone was butt hurt and thought it was saying la-faggots.


Of course when the ps2 part of the game came out nothing happened to people named butternipples and such.. lol
