Man some people really need to learn patience. We all would like to know about ARR, sure, but these threads just scream "entitlement" "me me me me". Stop thinking they owe you something.

The devs and Yoshi-p will give us updates when they see fit. He's done the best so far so I trust his judgement when it comes to this stuff. Not going to cry if he doesn't give us a video or screenshot to dangle a carrot in our face.

They mentioned they were taking a break this week after working long on both ARR and wrapping up 1.0 with all the media and what not. Give them a damn break. They're only human

And for those that keep bringing out "yeah that's what happened with version 1.0 and we got a crap game!" Well, that was Tanaka not listening to the people. He had a long record of doing that, even with XI. For years the XI community was in silence about things and had little or no input. Be happy you guys have a forum to bitch about this stuff in the first place. I remember back in 2006 or 2007 the idea of official SE forums came up, and Tanaka's response was "it would be too much trouble, since we would have to have forums in different languages."

And stop hanging on and dissecting every word like "flood" and "immersion" when that is most likely fluff text done by the translation from Japanese to English to make it sound exciting. -.-

There no such thing as patience when it come to people on here they feel entitled to know and get what they said they going to. If they said alpha start on this date they bitch if it does not happen or they don't get a invite.

Also the tanaka was not even working on FFXIV the dev team was not letting him do anything if you read one of his new interview he i think that the reason he left not because he was sick or anything. But i guess tanaka been about play the game how i make it and stfup but that just how JP company are back then and tanaka never change sadly at least we have yoshi-p and i still think if tanaka and yoshi-p work together we have a even better 2.0 or even Hironobu Sakaguch.

Japan Time was a marked event in neckbeard history, but it must stay there.

Anyhow, lots of cautiously skeptical people in this thread. I like that, it's certainly a more refreshing taste than the blind optimism I've been seeing. I just try to tell myself it's a simple matter of the people who were around for FFXI and its marketing campaigns and the people who just know about FF from the older single player titles. I mean, FFXIV already kinda suffers from "Flood of information" and inherited "We apologize for the inconvenience" from XI...it's not a good thing.

I'm keeping expectations low, as should all of you. Win/win situation, really.

Not gonna lie, I feel like the overhype from the SSB blog kinda lowered my enjoyment out of the game. It was a great concept though.

I just want to see my less big dream at least happens where Fire/Ice/Lightning spells are all awesome at damage dealing along with the ancient magic spells. Where Freeze does awesome damage, while the old freeze ability of dropping enmity was changed to Blizzaga and can be comboed with Blizzard line. Also burst not sucking, and flare is a long distance spell again, not a sutpid shotgun effect on you. The 15 minute ability changed to manafont.

My Big dream to come true would be in Black Mage got all elemental spells again with what was written above along with it.

If a developer said that was going to be in 2.0 Iwould patiently and very quietly wait for 2.0.

But when you hve been waiting for this change for when the game first came out, and told to wait till 2.0 to release and see... It only makes me more nervous. And if it's bad and you say something the same usual response from everyone else is "Just wait till..." It gets old, especially after what 2 years now or so, maybe alittle less.

Speaking of Tanaka...I give him alot of credit for early Square games such as the first few Final Fantasy and Chorono Cross!
