I want you all to take a minute to think about a very serious issue in FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. I'm talking of course about dancing. The old Eorzea was plagued by horrid, lifeless dances. Because of this there was no dancing in the streets of Ul'dah, frolicking in the Amphitheater or all night beach parties.

The lifeless dancing drove one man, Nael Van Darnus, mad. He sought to bring about a new era with the bright lights of Castrum Novum. Adventurers mistook this for some kind of evil Garlean fortress, with horrifying results. He then brought about his revenge on Eorzea with Dalamud.

So I implore the devs, please give us more interesting dances in A Realm Reborn. They must have life and passion, and preferably loop. Only through this will we avoid another catastrophe of this magnitude.

Well, I dunno about all that but in all seriousness I do hope they step up the dances because the current ones are just flat out awful. Unique dances would be fine too, just as long as they're not soulless 2 second emotes.

I agree OP I cant stand my dance lol. I dont want stupid meme dances like gangnam style or anything.
But I do miss my /dance4 from xi lol. I just hate seeing my character dance dumb lol

Agreed, like I said I have no issue with unique dances as long as they actually have some life to them lol.

I think we should stuff as many pop culture dances into the game as humanly possible. Yes, that is a fantastic idea.

An Irish Jig wasn't really my idea of a fun up to date dance for my avatar to do but I would love something sexy? funny? at least up to date with world culture today... It might be cool to do a ball room dance with your friend if you request a dance? or have group dance like /join party or /join dance? Just an idea.

Hey, I'm Irish and I LOVED the Irish Jig in the game. They just need to flesh it out more. And there should not be a River Dance version of it like they have it on WoW... And Irish dancing is one of the best. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjyljC5fSeU At the middle of the video. I saw them in concert but the guy doing the Irish dancing was different. You could see the dust in the air when the dancer performed on the board. But yeah, don't knock off Irish dancing. They just need to improve it in ARR
