I agree. Watch the LL intro vid when you first dock into the city - Kids are playing around. People are stocking boxes of supplies, talking, etc. The world looks alive but when you enter LL it's a barren city with no life. They've done this for a few of the FF games as well, which killed the game for me. (FF12) The game would be 10 times more immersive with life.

That and have a random npc come kick us in the junk and we fall flat on our faces in pain as the kid runs off laughing >.>
    lol Saw your edit.

With quests that use npcs that you already have the quest started on - you can always have the famous omnipotent effect and let the radar / map point to the actual npc rather then general location.

However finding someone that you dont have the quest by, thats where a guard with a search feature would be great.

"Excuse me have you seen Odintius?"

"Oh yes he is over in #General Name of Area# and can usually be spotted around <POS> at this time"
    or
"He only comes out of his den at night to bother the Viera and Mithras leavin' the Miners Club located at <POS>"

Could make players use it even if they have the quest "anti-give it straight to you" system - but I think SE wants to go the more hand it in your lap route.

Maybe not having a kid come score on the junk but I think random npc events interacting with your character could be really fun - specially some quest ones, classically known to happen in single player games.

This isn't Skyrim. Don't expect the NPC's to be on a day/night cycle or anything.

I think the best you can expect is maybe Dock workers moving Cargo, or another lalafell who cant seem to hold on to his fist weapons.

Nah the Black Shroud was actually created by Disney, they're the ones who hide the speakers in the bushes and pipe random sounds and music out at you.

I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility.

I really don't understand why NPCs moving around such that you can never give anyone clear directions as to where NPCs hang out is even remotely considered a good thing from any standpoint whatsoever that acknowledges that human beings are going to actually being interacting with the system which you have built.

It's purely for immersion purposes and I don't expect it to be there top priority content etc will be if they do small things to do list like npc interacting with the world around them in like a zone or two that isn't an issue to me it more cosmetics than anything else.

Any Quest NPC's should be static, that doesn't mean that fluff NPC's couldn't be wandering about, or only coming out at night or something.

I thought I remembered yoshi-p saying in live letter 3 or one of those that 2.0 npcs were going to be more dynamic
