If marriage exists in any form, it should include SSM. Benefits or no. I understand what you're saying, but anything in game that excludes any group of people from it is wrong. How about we all do this...Lets find out FIRST if there will be any benefits of being married.....If there are benefits of being married in game then we can discuss if it will only be OSM or both. Like I have already stated it would be unbalanced and unfair of SE to ask players to start a new character after putting up with all the BS we did in 1.0 just to conform to this "traditional values of marriage," based in a fantasy game in which you can cast magic and bring people back from the dead......Do I really need to mention that Bahamut destroyed the world.
Annnnnd you missed the facts I provided. Oh well, I don't care.
If it's anything like in XI, its just really a thing for roleplayers or people who meet on the game and end up together. It didn't have any beneficial values to it other than I think a certificate. How about we all do this...Lets find out FIRST if there will be any benefits of being married.....If there are benefits of being married in game then we can discuss if it will only be OSM or both. The only thing that sucked there was that you had to have a sponsor/coordinator to fill out an application on your behalf, and wait months for it to happen (if you got selected for the date you chose at all)

Or not, we can discuss it now and clear the subject since Yoshida wanted our opinions, and the sooner this is over with the better. How about we all do this...Lets find out FIRST if there will be any benefits of being married.....If there are benefits of being married in game then we can discuss if it will only be OSM or both. Hmm...
Same-gender marriage... That's an oxymoron right there! w
I can see this being convenient if a married couple playing the game as the same in-game gender had wanted something to show their union, but then again, said married couple as a father and mother might not so much fancy the concept of exposing their children to a setting where something so morally debased is glorified.
Oh please don't start this again. If your post means anything but that you're an uninformed idiot, clarify now so you have no defense of this comment later.Hmm...

Not sure I'm gonna get near this one.

Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of another, always at the same time as an end and never simply as a means
