    If you use up your three tokens can you still do the dungeon or are you locked out?

    If so, fix it asap parties will fall apart so fast. (It seems to read that you get 3-4 attempts and you are locked out, this stupid means static parties only, as PUGs will only be one time raids and likely go to hell after each run)

    If you can stay in even though you used up all your tokens, but no one wants to use their tokens on it can you then "greed (no token lot)" loot instead of "need"? Or will there be item rot?


    I think SE misunderstood us when we say we hate spamming content.

    It means we hate doing the same content over and over again at the whims of the RNG - each time you go again is a new % and no bearing to the last 100 goes. Its not that we cant do content its that we hate our work being useless in the greater scheme. Cant tell you how many times I've done Ifrit and Moogle when someone screams "yes!" and I want to yank out their internet cable. (Still 0/62 Ifrit, 0/30 Moogle - yes I keep count on a paper lol)

    I posted on my translation thread but I think you can still help after you finish the 3 chance to loot on your turn for others but this is bad for a pick up party or people using content finder since some people will just leave after they had their 3 turns and leave the party hanging to fill in the spot. So for these content it will require static party or people with good heart to help others after their turn.

I dont forsee people having too much trouble getting the drop they want or needing 100 runs to get the drop they want. 2-3 drops per dungeon, 3x a week per dungeon, youre going to get stuff unless you are with some greedy people (the 'I play every class this I need everything' people included)

    Let me clarify my earlier interpretation since I reread it and it doesn't seem as clear as I'd like.

    There will be no reentry timers. We'll be able to enter any content of this sort as often as we'd like. However, there will be lottery timers per content. Based on their mentioning of being able to participate in lottery up to 3-4 times a week, it sounds like once you participate in a lottery for one of the 3 items the boss drops, you go into a ~48 hour cooldown until you can participate in lottery for that content again.

    This would limit the rare loot considerably without making people wait between runs or deal with RNG entirely. Also one can do the content as often as one likes for the token-based lesser items.

    Very solid system imo.

    Yeah they don't seem 100% clear on this. Since that earlier translation states that "if your luck is really bad, you may try other content in the meantime", I would gather that only the ones that loot and lose will get a token, and once those lots are up, you might as well try other content since you will get nothing after that until your timer resets.

    ***Scratch what I said*** Completely missed this:

    - Raid bosses will always drop some type of reward - somewhere around 2~3 rare drops per party, random lotted. Even if one didn't get the rare drop, the players will be rewarded with tokens which you can then exchange for rare drops. In exchange, the chances to participate in the random lottery will be limited to 3 times per week. (Stanislaw's notes: The text in the interview here isn't really clear. What I'm assuming this means is that the chance to get that 2~3 rare drops is limited to 3 times per week, but one can still get tokens by trying the content over and over again. On the other hand, this can easily mean the return of horrid re-entry times.)

    It would be nice to get one of the community reps to clarify this because there seems to be conflicting information all the way around.

    Y: This time in ARR FFXIV instead of having percentage drop on boss monster, we have it made so when you defeat the boss monster you will get some type of reward. Even for rare drop for each party there will be 2-3 item drops, so would like to have that go through lottery within party. But to participate in that lottery it is set for each contents to 3 times per week.
    For that we have reset timer available for each contents so it's to check on those status. Of course for those that didn't make the lottery will get a token (something like a ticket) and by collecting the token there are items you can trade so it's made so that there is some type of result.

    For rare items if you have bad luck that privileged may not come around to you but you can challenge 3-4 times a week and if you still don't get it you can try other contents until you can try to reobtain. For this part it may be hard to understand till you actually play and try it out.
    To me this sounds like lockout timers. I interpret this block as "You can attempt this dungeon three times a week, but if you don't win any items you'll still get tokens which you can accumulate to buy equipment with. You can also do other content that is designed to award tokens to work towards buying equipment as well."

    Tracking how many times someone rolls need/greed per week/whatever block of time seems like a pretty archaic method to me, that's why I think they're going with the industry standard on this.

    The way i understood the JP text, your limited to 3x participation in the lottery, 3-4 is the amount of times you can challenge the content. No where in the text does it say there is no re-entry time, the 3-4 may be based on a re-entry timer but its not clear. I would assume there will be a re-entry timer on the content since they are trying to get people to do different content, as mentioned in quote 2. If anything i think depending on the content, the re-entry time might differ, for example Primals and Dungeons are both instanced content but the type of battle is different. Win or fail in AV/CC u got to wait 15mins to reenter but if you fail in Primal fight, u can re-enter after 5mins, similarly you can also enter right away if you fail DH. I think timers may be placed depending on the content

    The 3-4 a week could be the called reward-timer, not the lockout-timer

    OK could you please explain about the menu social, contents, and live? For the first two we could probably guess from the name.

    Y: For Social it's community related stuff such as friend, linkshell or free company. For Contents when you call up the contents finder you check the time remaining to reobtain rewards for each contents.
