Whats the point of AF and other drops if you can buy/craft better?

pld in general for garuda, cc, av etc using a str/mnd build (the correct build): mnd helm, str/vit pants, enmity belt, str gloves or acc gloves, hp feet

War for tanking garuda, cc, av, etc using a dps build (the correct build): str gloves, str/vit pants, crit attack belt

And I'm not going to even get into if you don't have a relic, because clearly melded gear could beat Garuda's on axe, shield and sword.

yeah.......mhm.......that's the "correct build" for the best set a tank can wear.

the reason i asked that is because there is no "best set" for a tank. different encounters require different gear setups. if you are wearing the same setup for every encounter minus the full hdl set with melded emnity belt and relic then you are vastly gimping the potential dps your dd's can do. other than that set you will be changing gear to be the optimal setup for each type of encounter and even different runs within the same dungeon.
