    The difference is you have to LEAVE TOWN at least if you want some group to carry you if your paying them to run you through a dungeon.

    What is hard about that concept?

    Look, I'm not saying the concepts aren't similar I'm saying one side of the concept shouldn't even be a possibility because it doesn't even involve fighting. Which is the entire basis of upgrading your gear in the first place, so that you can be more efficient in a fight....

    I don't think anyone isn't comprehending the concept of having to go to a dungeon to pay/leech drops from it...

    And I am going to have to respectfully disagree with the idea that someone shouldn't be able to use gil that was earned to purchase good gear that another player created using the crafts that he put the time into leveling, for what should be pretty obvious reasons.

    It's not like crafting gear outshines all the dungeon and boss loot. It's not even close to that. There is good, useful crafted gear at endgame. And really good dropped loot that outshines crafted gear as well. Both are useful. That is actually one of the good things about the game currently, and I really hope they keep both crafted and dropped gear relevant and useful in the future.

    Materia needs to be seriously nerfed, it took over the game's equipment and now its the only thing that really matters and that is ridiculous.

    so in other words... high level crafters shouldn't be able to make useful high level gear for high level players to do high level content...... gotcha.

    And what? You think people that have materia melded gear don't actually play this game? They just stand around in Ul'dah all day? How do you think they got that gil in the first place? Why do you think someone would spend several mil on a good piece of gear? Would it not be to use it in the field?

    no, no, no they don't play the game. the gil fairy swings by and puts hundreds of millions of gil in their inventory while they stand in town doing nothing.

    lol trolls. No where in my posts did I ever say that people who materia craft gear are people who don't play the game. The reason this game could stay in the toilet instead of actually becoming successful is because you have the Square Enix Yes-Men like you kiddos who think its acceptable to have an endgame system that revolves around blowing up money until you get lucky.

    A game has to find a balance of what crafters can bring and what content can bring. Currently what crafting brings is so much better then what content brings its a joke.

    from what i notice(could be wtong)
    1 people double meld gear so they can do content (garuda and the raven dude, maybe CC/AV)
    2 they go do these content

    these are the people who mainly gather and craft and meld there own stuff
    people who don't try to do content and get no where fast

    is this right all depends on how you look at it
    in 2.0 this may change,

    lol, yes, yes you are. i think 3 of 13 slots being crafted and the rest being drops on most jobs is a decent balance. sure some classes use more and some use less, but it keep both doing content and crafting both viable and worth doing in the game.

    No battle class has under 3 pieces where materia gear isn't potentially the best. If you really want to argue as a crafter stop calling it 13 slots too because rings and wrists are almost 90% of the time CRAFTED gear.
