Yes because what they are doing with A Realm Reborn doesn't use the full potential of Luminous Studio, just the core. Yoshida said that if A Realm Reborn were to use the full potential of Luminous Studio it would need to skip a generation of consoles and run on PlayStation 5.
I'm not going to defend the look on the random chance that it will be good by release. No more excuses.
Trailers are made to show it off after all, and with the game edging closer and closer to release, the atmospheric future of the game is uncertain.
And the idea that gameplay being more important than visuals is true. But the visual direction you take should complement the world you've created. It needs to capture the imagination and excite the player, and right now, it ain't looking so hot. Especially with that stuttering in the trailer for the version that's supposed to run smoother.
Sad to say I get less and less pumped about this game with every update and I'm not sure how long I'll play after its release. I'll give it a shot, but beyond that, I'm just not sure.
naa pretty sure it's because it's not finished and it would delay the game even further to wait for the engine to finish. I'm pretty sure they will be using it at the end of ps3 and ps4Yes because what they are doing with A Realm Reborn doesn't use the full potential of Luminous Studio, just the core. The Luminous Engine isnt ready, they are trying to make an engine in record time so they dont have time to finish the Luminous.Yes because what they are doing with A Realm Reborn doesn't use the full potential of Luminous Studio, just the core. Even if you (general term) dont like the changes it is pretty amazing how fast they are retooling the game.
It really seems this game has no solid direction on what it's trying to be. It feels like this game is trying to be everything else.I'm not going to defend the look on the random chance that it will be good by release. No more excuses.

They are trying to work too fast and too efficiently (making compromises) I think (there is a lot of pressure on them). Though people may hate it, I'd suggest they not close the servers down but maintain an on the side alpha testing server and let players continue to pay them (so they dont go broke or rush even harder and make more sacrifices to get it out).
I think they are on the right track they just need to make sure they dont lose any carts on the way out the door.
El meo wuz here
I highly doubt it is going to look like that, especially when Yoshi-P said it was going to look almost identical to the PC version at a distance and then only up close will you see the difference, it will be on scale of the low res pc, and that looks nothing like the low res PC version. That looks like a completely different photoshop version of another game. I won't believe it looks anything like that until I see it with my own two eyes.
you just did see it with your own eyes.... -.-I highly doubt it is going to look like that, especially when Yoshi-P said it was going to look almost identical to the PC version at a distance and then only up close will you see the difference, it will be on scale of the low res pc, and that looks nothing like the low res PC version. And this is what i've been talking about, you blind followers of yoshi. "IT'S ONLY ALPHA WAIT TILL YOU PLAY IT, IT WILL BE BETTER! IT CANT LOOK LIKE THAT! ; ;"
Most of you people are in denial...
