naa pretty sure it's because it's not finished and it would delay the game even further to wait for the engine to finish. I'm pretty sure they will be using it at the end of ps3 and ps4

The Luminous Engine isnt ready, they are trying to make an engine in record time so they dont have time to finish the Luminous.

Even if you (general term) dont like the changes it is pretty amazing how fast they are retooling the game.
