For anyone that doesn't know, Limit Breaks are replacing Battle Regimen. It was told in an interview from yesterday.. Too lazy to dig up a link though.

The game currently does that, you move backward slowly if you are locked on in active mode.I like having TP right off the bat. Let melees get in on the BLM front loaded damage, maybe they won't get ignored over throwing BLM at everything now.
I don't like what I saw of combat in the video though, goofy WoW/Aion/every other MMO ever backpedal while fighting (they couldn't have just made you run in that direction? Did they get rid of analog control or something?) and spammable skills means that while it'll be nicer for melees it might become just another "set rotation" type of game. I thought the directional combos were a good idea, and they'd actually work fully now that the lag and animation lock is gone.
Full TP at the start sounds awesome, and really levels the playing field. They could just as easily alter Invigorate and Store TP is still useful in longer battles.
Scenes of hundreds of corpses of people who don't know how to handle their enmity just flashed before my eyes. This is an interesting idea, and I definitely think it has potential, but I do worry that if melee and magic mechanics stray too close to each other, they will start to feel too similar and bland. We'll just have to see how it goes.
I'm not really for or against this change, I just don't really understand the purpose of having TP if it's going to function exactly the same as MP. Why not just do away with TP altogether and have everyone run off MP? I suppose there could be a gear sharing issue with DoW classes finding +MP as a desirable stat, but they could balance that with class restrictions if necessary. I just don't understand the point of TP if this is the case, plenty of Final Fantasy games ran just fine off HP and MP.
This is pretty much my fear, I hope that they realize the perils of making the two too similar. That being said, I'm not going to worry too much until I see it in action. And event then, if it's fun to play, I'll live with it.I'm not really for or against this change, I just don't really understand the purpose of having TP if it's going to function exactly the same as MP. I'm very interested by the change, and honestly, I think people might be over-reacting a bit too much. DRG can still make use of Invigorate and Store TP since you don't auto-regen TP in battle.
This actually gives the melee a bit of a leg up at the start of battles and really, the only thing I'm worried about is being able to secure solid hate as a flurry of Weaponskills comes flying towards the mob.
Um... fellow Monks want to have word with you...I'm not really for or against this change, I just don't really understand the purpose of having TP if it's going to function exactly the same as MP. Aion Zwei - Masamune

Hey didn't we have a system kinda like this before ....

Oh god I seriously hope we still get TP from WS and not only from TP regen...otherwise it's stamina bar era all over again.
Sit in front of a bar and wait for it to fill up enough to use a skill without any way of influencing the speed on which the bar fills....yay >_>'
I'm so glad that was over more than a year ago; I doubt they would be stupid enough to do stuff like that again but still...I'm doubtful.
