
Don't forget SE still hasn't shown us exactly what "limit breaks" are, and they haven't announced anything about the battle regimen system. (If they're even keeping it)I like having TP right off the bat. Let melees get in on the BLM front loaded damage, maybe they won't get ignored over throwing BLM at everything now.
I don't like what I saw of combat in the video though, goofy WoW/Aion/every other MMO ever backpedal while fighting (they couldn't have just made you run in that direction? Did they get rid of analog control or something?) and spammable skills means that while it'll be nicer for melees it might become just another "set rotation" type of game. I thought the directional combos were a good idea, and they'd actually work fully now that the lag and animation lock is gone.


Yeah, I still have hope Yoshida and the crew can make it fun and engaging, they did for the old battle system which used to suck. I'm just voicing a couple of concerns.


People built TP before important fights anyway (open world). This just saves time, and makes certain abilities less crucial.



Very interesting. The possibilities of having full TP with a class like Musketeer, where I can maybe fire off a long distance low accuracy high damage shot to begin the fight makes me happy.



It might be alright since they are moving to a quest based xp system but they will need to change HP on monsters. I don't mind a faster battle system but I don't want faster fights.



Guess it depends on the rest of the battle system in terms of cooldowns, otherwise it really did seem like they went from one end to the other rather than being snug in the middle.



Starting with full TP doesn't seem like much of an "exteme". Mages start with full MP.
It kind of makes more sense this way.
Current System: "Man I'm tired from all this resting, I wont be able to do epic moves till I start bashing on stuff"
New 2.0 System: "RAWR!!!!"
As someone who plays PLD mostly. I'll gladly start a fight with Def Down.
Now maybe we can convince them to reset all cooldowns between fights /jk

If mobs have much more HP and we have no animation lock with no lag...it sounds like it'll actually be alot more fun and look pretty badass with everyone beating the crap out of mobs. Much more action/fast paced feel.
