He isn't very elegant but he usually does bring up some good points. People just get too caught up in the easy target he gives to actually have a decent debate.
Not his fault people would rather jump down his throat than actually discuss his suggestion and it's counterpoints. It happens but gets burried under people looking to slap off a witty remark about how they hate him.
Actually, the issue is the storyline wasn't implemented well in any regard. Just compare it to FFXI's storylines, you didn't need to level in order to even accept them, you needed to be x level to do some of the fights, but most mission fights were usually level 25-50, with the final being at 75 for everything else up until Abyssea.
They could easily incorporate the storyline without making it a means to throw you to end-game. In XIV you had to be x level to even do missions that were no more than talk to 2 NPCs, that has nothing to do with progression, it was poor implementation.

The storyline and its quests should carry you all the way to 50. But it should not be as simple as talking to 2 NPCs for a single quest, agreed.Actually, the issue is the storyline wasn't implemented well in any regard. Peach Parfait/Khulan Angura on Gilgamesh
If you have to talk to an npc make it an epic journey like the quest where you had to go to all three nations(ffxi) with no airship or really teleporting.
had a lot of fun with that quest~

YesQuests should be more involving. Even though the GC quests have some great story, they're still very tedious because you're going very far just to talk to an NPC, and then you go all the way back. There's really nothing special or unique about it.

also just because I'm against this type of questing, I would like a dev to comment on their plans for it.
If anything he'll likely comment about it in next letter.
