Toggle Jump

I find the anti jump people really childish. I mean really your going to rage on the forum about them adding a new feature to the game? I find its the same group of people that rage over any new addition to the game that wasn't in FFXI, be in content finder, new instances, hamlets not being like besieged what have you. If it was up to you guys there would be no new features in the game.

The only people raging are those like you that are only for a choice until you don't like it.

Some people should just get over themselves and grow up and stop whining about every little new addition to FFXIV. All this rage from some people about having a simple jump feature is just ridiculous.

Again, the only people raging in this thread are those like yourself that are adamantly against the choice of being able to toggle jump on and off.

I don't see any other game community continue complain about having a jump feature, for example go check out Swtor or Aion, or WoW forums I bet you can't find a single topic complaining how there is jumping in those games.

I don't remember caring about such awful games.

I'm just not sure why this is even a big deal. There are a ton of things that could use attention in FFXIV right now and you chose this to focus on? Seriously, it's like hopping on the short bus to ride it to school, then complaining the bus is full of retards.

Then why do you make it such a big deal by opposing it? If it's not a big deal, then don't waste your time opposing it. My being able to toggle jump is not going to hurt you, period.

Heaven forbid some pixels on your screen move up and down.

Heaven forbid that I be able to have an option that won't effect you.

They did just that to add a jump emote ....



So you could have just
/equip head
which would actually take off the helmet in town, I don't think that nights walked around with invisibutton helmets.

You can't argue for one toggle that serves no actual purpose but is just for aesthetics while knocking another that is the same thing. It's just arguing with yourself. If it's about immersion then shouldn't we have the toggle to ensure that all people are able to achieve equal immersion in the way they like. Not your way, since all things considered your way will not appeal to everyone, as mine won't.



It's also an uneducated one.




It's not that they have an issue with reading or remembering. It's that they got what they were after now the idea that everyone won't have to see it disturbs them. It's the self centered nature of (fill in blank as you see fit) to believe that everyone should, nay, must accept everything the way they like it because other people just aren't as important as them.

On the note of jumping and or a jumpani toggle. Jumping is going to lead to headaches, I jumpclimbed everywhere I could even off maps in many games. MMOs don't need jumping they need to be designed without platform elements because they aren't platform games. I get that alot of people want to be able to jump, useful or not, and if they can great. I don't see why those same people take offense to the idea of people that don't want/care about jumping and would rather not see it. Oh wait I do understand I covered that just a second ago.

FFS jump fans look at what your saying here, "Gimme jump gimme jump gimme jump, ok fuck everyone else move on to my next gimme gimme gimme."

Before the "Suck it up or quit" BS that i'm sure is coming. Point it back at yourself. If I need to quit your game now, you should have quit mine on day one then this whole discussion would be moot. Wait I forgot we're all players. Imagine we all wanted people to enjoy this game, wow what a truly novel idea.

As a side note, I look forward to making my first "Shit I'm stuck in this cliff I was trying to climb." GM call. Not to mention the "Up a tree" people, we all know it'll happen if they make jump functional withing the environment and not just an emote. Wonder if we'll be able to slip up ontop of the sky and walk everywhere out of aggro range of mobs.
