I think you're missing the point however. This isn't a typical thread on your forums, Malakhim.
I'm not asking for signatures to petition changes to the game. I'm not demanding that devs read my post. I'm not demanding that this game should be what I want and only what I want.

What I am doing however is creating a topic and opening it up for discussion between me and many other Final Fantasy XIV players to share their views on a certain topic that I haven't seen discussed before.
Is it so bad to indulge in conversation between me and other people across the globe who're interested in a similar activity?

Seriously dude, do some forum searching. This discussion has been going on ad infinitum over the past who knows how long. You haven't looked hard enough, surprising since it shouldn't have taken more than a minute.

This isn't a problem with a solution to find. This isn't a repeat thread in a constructive section of the forum like Feedback or Support. This is a request for chat in the social, General Discussion sub-section of the Community forum. If you want to dub yourself a mod, feel free to help solve problems in those other sections of the forum. If you don't like a thread in General Discussion, you can always report it. Otherwise, please let the people in Community >> General Discussion be social, and let the community generally discuss in peace. If the real mods don't like a thread, they can moderate it.

Leveling everything is the entire point of the armory system. It's how you maintain versatility and effectiveness as your designated class(which plenty of people still play as). If you're having some kind of problem with an Ifrit run or whatever, just ask people before hand that you're looking for a specific drop and if they would pass it to you if they got it. If not, then dump 'em.
