    Recommended Settings?

    I finally got around to installing Final Fantasy XIV on my laptop, and I'm wanting to find the best balance of graphics and performance. What settings should I choose?

    Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M
    CPU: Intel i7 2670QM
    RAM: 8 GB
    Resolution: 1600x900

    (Sorry if this is the wrong forum, wasn't for sure where to put it.)

    You might need to turn AA off completely. Experiment with 2x or 4x, or try using an FXAA mod.
    Drawing at 8. Background at 3.
    Uncheck AA and DoF. Texture Quality at medium or low.
    Cap at 30fps. Turn off physics, dust, and Shadows.

    Just want to state the "mod" overlay isn't needed anymore, update to nvidia's latest stable 300 series drivers,

    There's now a enable FXAA option in the driver 3D settings section

    I'm running on an Asus G60JX from 2 years ago which has:
    Nvidia GTS 360M (1GB GDDR5 VRAM)
    Core i5 @2.27 GHz x4
    4GB DDR3

    Running on these settings at :

    Native monitor resolution is 1366x768, but I mainly play with the laptop attached to a monitor via HDMI.
