"No one wants a trauma dump from a stranger," does not equal "This community is not friendly at all."

I also have next to no issue just making small talk with other players. It's just like real life, if you come at strangers with anything more than generic pleasantries, you've just made it incredibly uncomfortable. Other players aren't free therapists. We're all just goofing off in a fantasy game together and are perfectly within their right and social norms to back off if you come on too strongly.

So while what you’re saying is reasonable I kinda have 2 issues with that thought process.
A. Sometimes it’s really hard to not overstate (my history well ya)
B: sometimes it’s easier to be open to stranger/friend than shrink. Like with a real shrink you have to think in the back of your mind what if I say to much and I get sent back. There are things my bestie and online ppl know that I’m scared to bring up to a shrink thinking it will break me.
Plus shrinks atleast mine when they see a new mark they ask if you need to go back or a crisis center or in some cases force you to get a casemanger and they can involuntarily have you committed.


Ps I do feel guilty when it happens but sometimes it’s really difficult controlling emotions and not act impulsive
