Molly isn't failing at anything. The translation said Duel guns which, if you know proper English, means a gun used for dueling. The error was in the initial translation with two words that are incredibly similar and could both be used in context. You could assume all you want that duel actually meant dual but well, you know what they say about assuming.

First off, if you really want to get into the specifics of word use there is no such thing as a "Duel Gun," it is Dueling Gun. And second what would the significance of saying that an already known gun class is "planned" to be using "Duel Guns" when one could just look at the models that are already in game? I will tell you. There is no significance. The only logical explanation would be that translation itself had a typo and instead Yoshi was telling us that there is a plan for "Dual Guns." And wait a minute... that IS what happened.

Also come on guys, why do you want Dark Knight to come from Gladiator when instead we could have a Greatsword class with a whole new skillset that actually resembles what a Dark Knight should be?

The problem itself is due to the limitations the class system places on the Job system.

Want a cool job like Ninja that uses a sickle/chain as a weapons? Well too bad becasue there isn't a class that uses one. Want a Scyth or Greatsword job? Too bad!

Though that allows them to keep adding new classes along with new jobs for exactly that reason. I agree that it's a little restrictive but it's not impossible for them to do.

But if you add a new class with every new job then what's the point of having classes? They should remove classes, and have just jobs. As for cross abilities? Just do the same and make quested abilities "Exclusive". Mnk can use Drg/Brd with the except of jumps/songs ect. It gives more freedom, and makes it so classes aren't redundant.

I also feel that choosing between PLD and DRK is too restrictive when there was never any sort of restriction like that before in this game, or even in FFXI. If you wanted to be something, you can be that class.

The funny thing is, Dark Knight and Paladin were my 2 main jobs in FFXI, Corsair not far behind. I'd like to have access to those jobs again rather than having to choose only one (Dark Knight).

Idk if youre trolling but mollys inference was perfectly logical. If anything...assuming a typo is more illogical, as it is just assumption.
