Well doesn't your taru look similar to the taru of FFXI...one of the most popular face choices at that. It's about time you get over it, it was initially stated they reused the same races purely because it would be familiar to players of XI moving over that wanted to recreate their characters and logically people would call them by what they really are. The only difference is backstory, aesthetically they're all the same with a few changes, i.e lalafell can have moustaches and roegadyns lack a tail.

Exactly. Still unsure of wtf a Galka is or how it relates in any way to FFXIV. Never heard of them or seen them in our lore. I hear they're some male only race that somehow manages to reproduce that exists on some other world. As long as I've ever known the Roegadyn have been a typical 2 gender race and I swear I've never seen one with a tail before. Would probably look ridiculous either way.

The entire point of stealing the races from FFXI was to make the transition easier for players with a lot of time invested in their characters. It is kind of hard to do that when the Roegadyn are lacking a huge aspect of what made the original Galka what they are.

Borrowing races =/= direct clone. If you also recall, there weren't any female Galka. Now we're getting female Roegadyn. They've become their own thing now.

Chocobos look different with each iteration, moogles look different, Cid looks different. Why are Roegadyn/Galka special?

Galka to Roegadyn had the most drastic change from original to modified for FFXIV races. The change in arm and leg length. Missing tail. Less pronounced fur. Between all the Character Races it is the very least like its progenitor. Mobs and NPC's do not matter as much because they do change between titles quite often and look different each time. We're talking about Races which were copied for the sole purpose of making their FFXI players feel at home. For Galka players, we do not.

So far all the complaints I've heard about tails is, "BUT TEH SU ULGIY!"

Galka players liked how they looked and we would like the ability to continue our Fantasy into this new title like everyone else. I advocate the option of tails in character creation so those who prefer the newer tail-less look won't have anything thrust upon them.

It doesn't matter how people to try to convolute the concept.

Galka = Roegadyn

Different name, different game, same race.
