At first, this seemed like a really pretentious thread, along with insulting anyone that didn't agree. It also appeared to me as though we wanted HNMs ported DIRECTLY from FFXI. So I was against that.

However, reading a lot of the posts on the OP, I've gotta say that this is starting to sound better, and I'm hoping for the devs to take ideas from this thread. It also comes off as less high and mighty as it did before. Pretty solid job OP. I'm all for HNMs with repop timers of around 7-9 hours.
