? I’m genuinely confused here. What do you mean necro/necroed? I’m a solo player that doesn’t engage much with the community. I just found this thread a few days ago and I didn’t say I force people to go my speed, I don’t wanna go their speed either so that’s why I use the npcs. I was just saying to the original person asking “for those who pull only one group why do you do it?” And that was my reason why I personally pull 1 group at a time, I was just saying before npcs were added that’s how I pulled and played because I enjoy playing that way. Once they added npcs it was great for me so now our opposite playstyles aren’t clashing.

As a healer, I always tell the tank, "Pull as much as you want! I gotchu!"

As a tank, if I see what looks to be an experienced healer (post 30 job quest) I'll pull w2w and see what happens. Pre-30 healers I'll pull small at first, then build up to w2w if it looks like they can handle it.

This is why I don't tank (or heal) because people will hate my rate of pulls and I'll likely hate theirs. Better to just be the DPS who lets them figure it out and start with the AoEs when we stop.

And if we all eat the floor because they pulled too much, not my fault in the slightest because I know I was pushing buttons and it was on them for over-estimating their mits and heals.

You play as a tank to get commendations. Usually better if you also press cooldowns on your teammates to heal them, save them,etc. bring phoenix down and even better. Don't have to say a single word.
In 99% cases it's tank pulling everything it can. If healer fails to deliver, then stop pulling that much.

I feel that, this is why I don’t tank with people anymore. I’ve had too many bad experiences throughout my time playing. I tank with npcs and dps with people.

Well the reason I posted here, I was looking up why people have to rush so much on google as I don’t understand the mentality, so many people have just accepted rushing content as the norm when it shouldn’t be. I just don’t see how you’re enjoying the game blitzing every thing you do. While looking this up I saw a link to this post that took me directly to the first persons post asking that question. So I just answered why I do it the way I do it. I didn’t look at dates of the post or anything like that and didn’t realize I was doing anything wrong. As you said you saw yourself, I’m barely online as it is and haven’t really posted anything on this site. I barely use it. And what does HTH mean?

There is probably only one dungeon where you shouldn't collect all mobs without thinking, and that is Mt.Gulg.

I mean I agree, it shouldn't be.

But this is the culture that Square Enix has cultivated by making dungeons mostly the same, bar paint. If they were actually fun and distinctive, then I think people would find themselves more willing to not blitz everything.

Some people have tank anxiety.
Some people are tanking for the first time.
Some people have disabilities and other health problems behind the screen ( and yes this affects their game play ).
Some healers are over confident and demand the tank ( especially the one who’s learning the ropes ) to pull wall to wall and then bam tank dies.
When I join the duty I do not expect it to speed run it. I do it when I have free time so I personally really don’t care if the tank pulls one mob at the time or ten.

I have seen Tank bots in duties. First giveaway is when they just keep running into the same wall and can't get past it.
