Bare minimum you'd think they would put some bite into the mobs themselves, give people a reason to NOT think they're all easily AoE'd pushovers and they need to keep groups separate. Make the trash take US out.

Some people have tank anxiety.
Some people are tanking for the first time.
Some people have disabilities and other health problems behind the screen ( and yes this affects their game play ).
Some healers are over confident and demand the tank ( especially the one who’s learning the ropes ) to pull wall to wall and then bam tank dies.
When I join the duty I do not expect it to speed run it. I do it when I have free time so I personally really don’t care if the tank pulls one mob at the time or ten.

I have seen Tank bots in duties. First giveaway is when they just keep running into the same wall and can't get past it.
Thats not a tank "Bot", thats a tired tank, ive fallen asleep at keyboard doing dungeon farming for tomes SO many times, Just give us a pat on the head or a kick up the rear

Yea, see that’s why I replied to the OP. I understand everyone has different ways they enjoy the game. And for me personally that’s how I do. When I’m in a dungeon, I take my time, I move one group at a time, like to watch the animations of the moves, check out the design of the dungeon like scenery and any little side paths that are added in, I like to grab every chest I see even if I don’t need the gear, cause at least I can sell it for spare Gil or use it for company seals, I’ve always been a slow and steady wins the race kinda guy, that’s just how I enjoy the game. I’ve got friends who rush through the story and content, while I’m enjoying myself at my pace. Funny enough, one of my favorite side things in the game is the barracks, leading and commanding your squadron of recruited, customized npcs. I love everything about it. And I’m the only one in my friend group who does it, it just sucks that system fell to the wayside and never got any more updates in years. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that maybe one day it will be revisited with some good updates, higher max levels for your recruits and more job choices. Anyway that was a ramble, sorry, I only commented here to begin with to explain why I personally only pull 1 group at a time. It’s how I have fun, what I enjoy, and I wish more people could enjoy the game and the hard work they put in to the dungeons that way too. It just always feels like a waste to me to blitz these dungeons so fast that I don’t even get to remember anything about them sometimes.
It gets better in later dungeons, but it's hard to gauge in ARR dungeons.
Also doing the dungeon as a DPS or Healer doesn't automatically make you proficient in doing a dungeon as a tank. Just like with learning any new class or role.

THIS
Dungeons are dime a dozen. If you don't get to go full pull this dungeon, your next leveling roul will. The one tomorrow will.

If you can see someone is holding back, it's JUST a dungeon.
So it takes 20 minutes, and not 15 total. If your fullpulling it chances are it's non content to you, let someone else have their fun.
Its really simple. Insisting on wall to walling is selfish. ESPECIALLY if you are DPS and it's not your ass carrying the healing, and it's not your role your trying to practice.
And yeah, you could argue not wall to walling is selfish.
Fine we all agree.
Well now we ALL have a right to play selfish. You do whatever the F you want irrespective of the clear indication of someone else, and I'LL do whatever the F *I* want irrespective of your clear indications.
So you pull what you want. And I'll stay here and deal with this mob.
If you die because your too incompetent a healer or DPS to kite the mob back to me in time, that's just tough sht. Im not stopping you doing whatever F you want, and at the point you CERTAINLY are not going to stop *me* doing whatever the F I want.
You don't have to worry about making me stressed, and I don't have to 'get' stressed about compensating for the mess you've created for me. I'm'a just chill here . If I win the agro cool. If not, meh, cool.
Everybody should be really happy.
They need to take the walls out. Full pulling needs to guarantee to cause a wipe unless you've got 4 not just three good players in cap gear.
THEN people will again get used to the idea judgment is needed, and a full pull is rarely a given.
Plus imagine how much less sht and more fun they would be.
I remeber dungeons that weren't walled and sure there was anxiety, but the game never collaosed then because of it. Sure there is anxiety, but by the time you've done 5/6 expansions it's not like hitting aurum vale as a sprout and wondering if the entire game is for you.
And for the love of, 'announce' that that is what will happen and that's how the dungeons are designed. Then hold your course until people get used to it. You've held your course for long enough on the belief that people want to spend literally hours studying YouTube guides instead of just playing the game, and getting one-guyed in body checks day after day after week after...

This, very much.
They probably have math’d out most modern dungeon length predictably so, so that (in their minds) a person with super tight schedule can sort of ‘book it’ into their schedule & know when XYZ dungeon run will end & not interfere with their daily lives. Of course, it comes with a cost of turning everything into samey duties with diff coat of painting alongside molding the mindset of which players approach the content(s) with.
They truly can’t have their cake & eat it too.

No player and no role is more important than another. If you can't keep up with what the majority wants, that party is not for you and you need to leave or get kicked out. It's as simple as any other group decision.
Anything else is ego too big and/or selfishness and you need to be put in timeout until you learn how to play with the other kids. Go back to playing with NPCs who'll always agree with you.

Man i love wall to wall pulling but when tanks slow pull god i know its their first time but i sit there bored af. Healing is fun at times but sometimes i have to almost let them die to enjoy it. Its weird i know but 1 mob at a time literally fries my brain. Once i got better and more daring. Man wall to wall is my go too.
You open the door theres nothing in sight. You close the door wondering whats in sight. But lets be honest its probably gonna just let you down.
