As a tank main I wish I felt any sort of tension during pulls but it is so brain numbly boring. We need a change to tanks so healers get to work and we get tensions during pulls. Tanking should be thrilling.

I request every tank to slow down, because I am not comfortable with those kinds of pulls, sorry!!!
How do I private my logs so that I can have very opinionated comments about content I don't do?

I'm honestly more annaoyed by people who open chests in low level dungeons who have no intention on rolling just so the annoying popup shows up anyway for no reason

I do that.
It defaults to greed though (I'm pretty sure), or maybe that's only when no-one rolls. I dont roll need on any gear I don't need, but honestly that's more laziness. If i didn't get gear from dungeons to desythn and sell all I would have earned in the past is roul reward gil. Not exaggerating that would have been 100% if what I earn. God that was fun on dead Chaos with it's end game player deficit. You don't get much from desything ARR and HW dungeon drops.
As tank frankly, I hope no-one is going to wonder why I dint pause to roll, given the thread we are in.
Incidentally, I always wall to wall unless I see someone taking their time for some reason (usually first time), or frankly unless it's my first time and the dungeon is worth appreciating, which they really really were at the beginning of DT.
Frankly the latest dungeon wasn't worth talking time for, once you've seen the start of the corridor you've seen the end. You could run straight to next wall and there was nothing to miss, it was just a bunch off corridors really. (Or maybe not, maybe I just don't even try to slow down know and SE did a great job that was just wasted)
I approve of not wasting a lot of resources on dungeon appearances thoug. The sad reality it is wasted on the full pull sprint and lousy mob game play. (That something that could be fixed though.)

(back for the free 4 days. M1, M2, M3 were great. Monster hunter normal trial was amazing. But until X-DC PF is implemented and the casual game is invested in, there is no point in making new social contacts that will leave again, so while I've had fun re-running instances until I've got one piece of gear, I'm done after a day, and I've no reason to sub for even a full week.)

I can't believe this thread is like ... 3 years+ old LOL I didn't realize at first. I would've thought the answer to the Tank question was extremely obvious though..
Tanks who pull one small group of mobs at a time are one of:
- Very new to tanking in general
- Not new but coming back after a long break and are just being very cautious
- Have some form of diability and as such a different playstyle (though I've only seen this a handful of times, pretty low odds option)
- Just plain aren't that good at tanking, which yea is very real even at high levels alas, not everyone is good at video games after all
- OR, they've lost faith in all healers for whatever reason XD this has happened to me a few times
I have WAR at cap and the other three tanks at 70 (for now). I personally don't find it difficult to tank with any of the 4 Tank jobs, at least up to the levels/content I have access to thus far.
I also main WHM quite a bit and don't find any issue with tanks pulling wall to wall in pretty much any dungeon so long as they mitigate properly (some of the lower level dungeons require a bit more know-how)
For what it's worth, though, I don't even know why these mob-pulls are even a part of dungeons anymore. They're pointless, and identical in most cases, especially in 70+ dungeons. I get they want dungeons to be different from Raids, Trials, and other boss-only content, but like ... this is not the solution XD maybe they'll get more creative down the line :/

Because some new tanks don't keep up with their gear and are afraid of big pulling because they never thought to replace that level 21 earing.
In the name of courtesy and decency be patient and deal with it.
In all honesty that tank is greifing but that my not be intentional and even if it is its not worth your time typing to them. just eat the 30 min ban timer or roll with it.
I'm like crit melds fine, I wonder when they'll be me mine! penta meld then i hit rewind, to watch it slot one more time and I got thit SODA!
-Reginald Pain #1 on the fa mic, blessed with Hydaelyns might, I'll kill ya on sight... *POW*
I use auto-run to quickly roll on loot between pulls while taking my left thumb off the controller stick. It’s courteous to go ahead and roll if you can, rather than waiting for the timer to finish, but it doesn’t actually impact anyone until the end of the dungeon when someone might be waiting for you to make your roll when otherwise they could leave.
(I really wish the devs would implement an auto-roller. I would love to automatically roll Need/Greed on higher level dungeons, and Pass on lower level ones.)
As for mob packs in dungeons, I like them. They give a different kind of gameplay for tanks and healers, and they’re very fun for Reapers because we get to build lots of extra gauge from all those deaths. :3
I have tanked a few times and the simple answer is Im learning the dungeon and my class.
