I wouldn't be surprised if they wait till it's too late to recover loss of revenue and have to cut back even more so that the higher ups can keep their profits up.

So, Squee is willing to introduce and play with further convoluted ideas, instead of just simply giving the player-base what they want: MORE HOUSING.This is what a lot of people were hoping they meant when they first mentioned “housing mirage,” so it’s great to see it confirmed!
I like my small interior and exterior, but they also made an offhand comment about “more layouts” that intrigues me! I’d love to see them use this as a springboard to make three different apartment sizes as well!
It's all starting to make sense.

WELL OF COURSE IT MAKES SENSE!
It's like watching an episode of Game of Thrones. You never know when SE will fluff us over more... OH WAIT.........
A hope is that bright light burning within each and everyone of us!

Here's hoping it's covered in the Live Letter tomorrow.

I hope the devs are listening. We need the devs to please listen.

I really hope...!!

with ff14's housing?! don't painting this entirely calm and reasonable community with broad brush like that QQ
any day now, we will get out dream mansions in our island sanctuaries, and anyone who doesn't believe is smelly heathen!

It's sad that once again, no major content this patch... the rest of content is pretty good, but I was really looking forward to something housing-related.
(Edit: I watched the stream muted, and do not understand Japanese, so if something was said please let me know!)

I don't care about what Yoshida may have said between two slides. We were supposed to have some interior update at 7.2 or 7.3 (PPL LXXXVIII) and since then, they've kept postponing it; we've literally had no information other than "not ready yet." If they've given up on housing, just say so!

Housing is now planned for 7.5. He said the main concern is the stress that increased housing items/limits will have on the CPU so they are working in that (according to Discord translation).
(edited in light of Darkstride's comment) welp, guess we're screwed for awhile still.
It's honestly bizarre to me how little respect Yoshi gives to the entire housing system in these LL's. Like, WoW made massive waves with the reveal of their long-awaited housing. LL co-host Foxclon hosts a YT series in which he tours players' houses regularly. There are so many communities of decorators and so much energy invested in this aspect of the game but then he just usually goes "oh right, housing, meh, there'll be some more about that later" and keeps stringing us along.
I guarantee you that if he'd spent half the time detailing *what* a Variant Dungeon is and devoted some minutes to discussing housing instead no one would be upset; to the contrary *lots* of people were hoping for some more info about size upgrades and item limit increases after the last LL.
