During the live letter, Yoshi-P talked about a potential change for the upcoming patch cycle (past 7.1), wherein players could upgrade their house interior to that of a larger house (the example he used was a small house with a large house interior.

I'm pretty stoked for this, as it's something I've suggested a few times. Also, I hope it applies to apartments as well, because people who can't get houses deserve nice things too!

This is what a lot of people were hoping they meant when they first mentioned “housing mirage,” so it’s great to see it confirmed!

I like my small interior and exterior, but they also made an offhand comment about “more layouts” that intrigues me! I’d love to see them use this as a springboard to make three different apartment sizes as well!

It's incredible. I already had a large, but my lav 11 fc med and my wife's lav 41 med became even better overnight. Now all those who wanted a large can finally have one.

Hold up. Are you saying I could buy a small and have the interior and space as a large? That's very cool if true.

Only thing I'd want is be able to have 3 gardening plots but guessing that won't happen.
