waitThat is not true.
Fatigue directly limits XP gain due to no xp being given when gathering is unsuccessful. In essence it is the same fatigue as DoW/DoM had but just implemented differently. Your xp gain decreases over time and eventually reaches zero. It is the same outcome.
If it was solely and RMT measure then you would still be able to complete the gathering action and gain XP but the item would simply break. That is not the case.
no exp is given when you dont gather succesfuly?
i thinks you have no idea what fatigue is then, cuz it sure as hell still gives exp

Unsuccessful gathers give half exp of a successful one, so if you are leveling and hit gathering fategue you will level half as fast, also the fategue we did have was influanced by exp, if it was the same fategue you would not beable to get the masses of exp from gathering leves, this is based on how much you gather in one day, not exp based. That is not true.

I know, but the post I quoted was saying it was the same as DoW/M fatigue, I was just pointing out the flaw in that thought I am actually for gathering fatigue as a measure to prevent RMT knowing compromises must be made, and legitimate players will have to be affected.
Personally I have never hit gathering fatigue, so it doesn't really affect me just yet.
actualy, the fatigue they got, we also got too, and it wasnt technicaly called fatigue, but surplusI know, but the post I quoted was saying it was the same as DoW/M fatigue, I was just pointing out the flaw in that thought I am actually for gathering fatigue as a measure to prevent RMT knowing compromises must be made, and legitimate players will have to be affected.

This may only be prevalent in fishing, but if you fail to land a jig and you get a message that says "the fish got away", you don't get any xp. It's only if you get the message that says to jig in another spot and THEN you fail that you get xp.
yeah that was different then what fatigue does
also, in fishing, that only happens on the first "jig" if you get past the first, youll get exp even if you fail

Well while long, it gave me a lot of info so thank you for the post OP.![]()
I know everyone got it, but it was mainly the DoW/M that voiced complaints, and it was officially called fatigue, we just called it surplus, because it said we gained surplus exp.
From the 1.18 patch notes:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...tch-1.18-Notes[dev1120] The fatigue system and surplus points have been abolished.
Any surplus points accumulated before the patch will be lost.
I think the OP post was well thought out and very constructive! A+ and I agree with you on your points for sure. I do like the firecrackers I got though, lol.
