I have never hit any gathering fatigue, but it wouldn't suprise me if SE had it as a way to prevent 24/7 rmt bots gathering to sell the gil they make, they had a fishing fatigue system in FFXI because of the mass of fishing bots around, it annoyed legit players, but it did slow down fish bots.

I'm willing to give SE the benefit of the doubt for now, there is a good chance the loot system isn't completely fleshed out and working properly.

We can only hope that in the next patch the score will directly reflect the colour of the chest that spawns and that will in turn increase the likely hood of loot dropping.

I don't see much of a problem with how the turn in system works, honestly.

Hardcore gatherers and crafters can consistently get in the top 20, more casual DoL/DoH can stockpile items for days / weeks and then turn em all in whenever they have enough time to do so to get in the top 20 every once in a while. The actual hamlet fight is also pretty fun, even tho I got constantly raped when I tried it this weekend, it was still fun as hell.

As for the rewards, I do think it - might - get a little better once they increase hamlet level, but for now....we're screwed.

Have you seen how many points the gatherers and crafters got us and we barely made lvl 2, when the other hamlets are released it will be almost impossible to get more than lvl 2.

I don't have enough gathering experience, but I thought that fatigue was out of the game. Why do people still say there is?
He's talking about real life fatigue, not game fatigue, which indeed does not exist in its original form anymore. there is still some upper limit on the number of items you can harvest from gathering points in a day, but that's only there as an RMT countermeasure. No other means of gaining EXP is capped or limited in any way.

My prediction if nothing changes with the reward levels: The defense portion of hamlet defense will only ever reach level 2, and it will do so rarely. This is because there will be 3 hamlets to supply and players efforts will be split between the 3 hamlets.

    That is not true.

Fatigue directly limits XP gain due to no xp being given when gathering is unsuccessful. In essence it is the same fatigue as DoW/DoM had but just implemented differently. Your xp gain decreases over time and eventually reaches zero. It is the same outcome.

If it was solely and RMT measure then you would still be able to complete the gathering action and gain XP but the item would simply break. That is not the case.

Now a lot of people already lose interest, I doubt that we will ever get rank-2 supply later on. I think SE demand point too high.
I Agree with Alise, I contributed over 100k and didn't end up as a top 20, also I won 10 battles only obtain fireworks every fight. The only thing good from this has been anima. I can't see the people from Excalibur pulling off any supply ratings level 2 ever if there is going to be multiple hamlets. I thought there was going to be rewards for a persons participation in both sides of the event but I don't consider dark matter and fireworks a reward for all the hours of craftin and gathering being done. I hope they can fix this because the fight is actually fun to do IMO.

Gathering fatigue still exists, I hit it twice over the course of the first hamlet [I worked a bit of it off with crafting].

    My observations are:

    * The best way to get points is have multiple crafts leveled, ideally ones with abilities focused on HQ, and HQ the militia gear for turn ins.
    * Will be easier to get in the top 20 after the other two hamlets are released since people will spread out among them.
    * Bad side effect of above is maybe no Hamlets will get over Level 1 or 2 with the amount of people spread out.

I think it's pretty retarded that only the top contributors have a chance at the new gear. I get the concept of rewarding the top contributors, but without the other people making the defense successful, they wouldn't even get a chance at the gear.
