I'm gonna hold your hands when I say this: a lot of y'all somehow learned absolutely nothing about the game's systems playing through 100 levels and six expansions of gameplay. It amazes me and not in a good way.

Bro they level 100 dont even bother holding they hand, all they gonna do is hold u down lol.
You open the door theres nothing in sight. You close the door wondering whats in sight. But lets be honest its probably gonna just let you down.
Im not giving up,I will keep doing this.

I was responding to the person who said only raiders upload their gameplay footage.
That's quite a remarkable conclusion given how many people have had issues with this particularly duty. How do you suppose they got to level 93 without learning anything?
And do you think it's sensible of SE to sell someone an expansion, then provide no mechanism for them to access the majority of it if they get stuck on this quest?
It's clear many skilled players are baffled by this problem, but some choose to spend time trying to help with useful suggestions, whereas others decide it's clever just to flex and be insulting.
Wonderful community.

How is it any different than someone not beating a story boss in any other game? "Very easy" already exists. Not much more they can do about it.
Also, this is an MMO. Regular skill checks before you head out and do more content with other people is incredibly considerate and should happen more often.
You can pick any thread of people complaining that something is too hard and you'll find plenty of helpful comments and questions, the majority of which remains either unanswered by OP or met with constant excuses as to why they can't/won't do whatever it is they're being suggested to do.some choose to spend time trying to help with useful suggestions, whereas others decide it's clever just to flex and be insulting.

It's different from failing to beat a boss in other games because this is, in part, a story-driven MMO. The theme-park/sandbox distinction in FF14 is muddied by all the things to do outside of combat. The fact people talk about "beating the game" in the context of 14 illustrates they don't understand the genre. How is it any different than someone not beating a story boss in any other game? I completely agree there should be skill gating of group content and have stated so multiple times. Do it via job quests where you can actually gate specific and necessary skills (and can teach!) rather than some completely irrelevant 4-button duty.
And I explicitly noted some people are genuinely helpful. For the ones who are not, suggest a bot posts "git gud, skill issue" beneath every post in which someone asks for help, then the usual suspects can just like that rather than demonstrating what dreadful people they are.

What are you even trying to say? There is no difference between this game and any other game that gates sidequests/activities behind MSQ progression. They all have bosses and they all need to be beaten to progress. It's different from failing to beat a boss in other games because this is, in part, a story-driven MMO. So your idea of a skill check is an optional quest so not only you can flood DF with players not capable enough, but they'll also be missing critical skills? Neverming that these "irrelevant 4-button duties" are actually easier than a job quest since all you gotta do is listen to what NPCs have to say and avoid AoE because the combat is a 1 button spam. If they can't beat them now, how do you think they're gonna fare while having to perform an actual rotation?Do it via job quests where you can actually gate specific and necessary skills (and can teach!) rather than some completely irrelevant 4-button duty.
There's absolutely no reason to gate the MSQ other than to ensure that players with insufficient skills don't waste the time of others in group content. The only reason to gate the MSQ otherwise would be if the only content in 14 was combat. For significant fraction of the player base, the time they spend in combat is a tiny fraction of their total playing time. What are you even trying to say? Besides, if there is a general gate, there's the question of where/how it should be set. When many people who have reached level 93 by clearing MSQ content struggle with some completely irrelevant duty, it's pretty obvious to me that very easy mode needs a nerf. As has been done countless times before. This has zero impact on the sweaty adrenalin addicts, other than preventing their ability to say "you can't do that, you're an idiot."
Please read what I said. I'm suggesting a player's competence with an individual job should be assessed and gated using job/role solo duties. Teach a tank how to W2W pull in a dungeon with NPCs. If they can't maintain aggro on enemies and gather up a couple of trash mobs, they don't get to proceed further in group content as a tank. Same with healers. If they're spamming Cure I and never use Holy or w/e, that's where the progress on WHM stops.
This actually addresses the problem you and others claim to care about. Those you meet in group content will have demonstrated proficiency in the job they are playing in that content. Blocking someone from progressing because they can't play as Wuk Lamat doesn't address anything. It simply provides an opportunity for some posters to feel better about themselves by crapping on others.

You know whats funny. I'll tell you why were mad. Were so sick and tired of you guys sitting here failing at this game for no reason. You guys literally want this game to baby ur butts so bad u might as well be spoon fed. The sad part you guys look at challenge as omg I just can't wall. If you sit and read ur skills it would click on what u need to do. This is becoming a problem, you guys want endwalker levels of easy. We don't wanna play your personal ff14 experience. Thats why were tired of these DT- is too hard. Your level 90+ It's about time you learn to read your tool kit so you get an idea what to do and how to do it. What more do you want Ultra mega super dooper easy noob mode? Game might as well play itself.
