Prog logs are a tad Toxic as some people can be very capable of clearing fights quickly but are held back by Bad Statics who waste your time and cancel at the last min or just don't care, or in PF you get stuck with Prog liars so... yeh that is very Toxic.
most are unlisted, but yeah
HOLY POOP ON A STICK BATMAN.... WHEN DID THIS COMMUNITY GET SO STUPID TO DEFEND THIRD PARTY TOOLS ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE.
Official reminder idc what it is. If its not sanctioned by ff14 devs the website, tools, and / or add-on are literally not allowed how many times do we need to be reminded of this???
You open the door theres nothing in sight. You close the door wondering whats in sight. But lets be honest its probably gonna just let you down.
But why can we spy little ACT or dalamud icons on their live letter desktops? Is this a ploy to mock us? Or a big wink maybe?
"How you doin' fellow kids" kind of deal?
It's almost as if SE's stance of "Do not do this, but also we're not going to stop you in any way or even try and check if you're doing it" is not obvious to some people
But then how would people harass people who don't play up to tHEIR standards?HOLY POOP ON A STICK BATMAN.... WHEN DID THIS COMMUNITY GET SO STUPID TO DEFEND THIRD PARTY TOOLS ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE.

That just isn't how that works. The devs have absolutely zero say in whether or not you use a website. If it doesn't directly interact with the game, it isn't a third-party tool. FFLogs is not a third-party tool.
Sure, but the way logs are recorded right now absolutely outs the person who recorded the encounter. The first person to load in the instance is the person running ACT.
Using that information, among other bits of data, you can easily determine on a mass scale which user recorded the log. It's no different than a video or image showing mods active on a user's account.
Using a website that shows performance ranking? Sure that's okay! But recording people's gameplay performance without their knowledge or consent, then posting that to another website? That's def actionable.
Because this is what they see when they log in to the game:HOLY POOP ON A STICK BATMAN.... WHEN DID THIS COMMUNITY GET SO STUPID TO DEFEND THIRD PARTY TOOLS ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE.

But if people didn't record other people's gameplay performance without telling them how would they then proceed to use it against them in earnest later?! Think!!! /sSure, but the way logs are recorded right now absolutely outs the person who recorded the encounter. The first person to load in the instance is the person running ACT.
