If you aren't mature enough to be on social media, you should leave it. I know they can't because they're a voice actor, and they need to self promote, but my god just use the block feature. It's not that hard. Stop letting trolls get to you and abuse your Thanos snap powers. They want you to react to them. Just turn your back on them, and they will get tired of harassing a brick wall.

As for the trick of blocking, you must not have been stalked very seriously or very much if that was enough to stop them. In my experience, it can even make things worse - the stalker moves on to other networks (especially professional ones) where you really don't want to see them. Sometimes, not blocking is precisely the right thing to do because it lets you know where the messages are going to land.

In short, enough of the ‘just block / don't care / etc’ rhetoric that half-heartedly accuses people who are victims of online harassment of being whiners.

Video gamers are weirdos. Japan as a country has stalker and harassment issues. Hell, their phones don't have the ability to shut off their shutter sounds on their cameras because of all the creepy weirdos.

You're going off on a bit of a tangent - particularly with regard to the way devices are made. I don't see the link. Especially as we're talking on a forum.

As far as we're concerned, if it's not on twitter, it'll be on another social network. It won't make any difference to change your social network, not if the person in front of you is determined enough to piss you off. Hence what I said above: saying that all you have to do is “be an adult” and “change your network” is like asking the person to pee in a violin. It's pointless, it only shifts the problem (which, in this case, is the disempowerment of the individual act when it's confronted with a collective movement and takes place on virtual spaces), and above all, I insist: it can make things worse.
