Hard scaling any content would be nice, and following the groups item level as well, could be nice for savage too so the 4th in each tier is not more or less a pushover as boss just scales up to max the item level of the group.

if we're going to be putting level sync on raids we need to add trial-style The Echo to them as well
I don't know why they didn't fix the Thordan fight when they revamped Heavensward. I think it's really cool afterall the whole fight and he does his ultimate attack, he's left completely helpless and just flails about, ignoring aggro and just swinging wildly at random players. Such a shame that pretty much no one gets to see that happen anymore. The problem isn't quite scaling, it's max iLvl, Endsinger used to have a similar issue where as the post patch stuff started happening and the max available iLvl increased, she started to die very fast after the LB3 sequence and you wouldn't even get to hear the Scions's lines, much less witness the desperation sequence that is the final phase, but they have since added a stricter iLvl 570 limit(for reference, Hydaelyn syncs to 550), and now the fight flows like it should.
Those two aren't even the only two that have this problem, a very big one to me is Thordan, who will die *moments* after his own LB sequence, and a bit of the narrative, that Thordan threw everything he had at WoL and we were still standing, so by that point he is desperately swinging while completely exhausted and barely able to move, is lost in the process, Thordan in general may need a whole rework, it's known that he can be beaten solo while sync'd.
Good idea. Echo has always been great for casual gameplay, and if fights are going to be generally a bit more difficult across the board i see no reason to not apply them to raids to help people not be hard stuck
There is a difference between the content being hard, and the content requiring brain power.ya'll really need to stop trying to make this game out to be something its not lol final fantasy has always been more appealing to a more casual oriented audience its heavily story focused not a "souls" remake or "WoW clone" experience.
you have all been given: unreal trials, ultimates, savages, criterion, extra difficult deep dungeon floors and 24 man savage level content.
the average player lacks the damn attention span and the ability to care for something thats too difficult to surpass normal dungeons and normal 24 man content is for those players that have the inability to adapt to high stakes an its not going to change either because especially in the JP community they despise it and flame Square Enix an send death threats if their dailies/weeklies are taking too long too complete and is not optimized to their work schedules.
now i think its fair to ask for some challenge but they are not going to go back thru every single expansion just to make a measly 8% of their players happy when their time and their resources are better spent adding newer features and content to complete.
they gave you who complained about this issue options to feel like you're playing the game how its "was" in its glory days via minimum ilvl and no echo syncronizing its not their fault that alot of you refuse to use the gear sets of that time to make it more genuine an get that oh so "nostalgia" you're trying to force others re-live an suffer with you
Previous final fantasy's while generally not hard other than like, ff5 and ff4- DS, you couldn't just smash your head on the controller through all of them.
Surely we can have a middle ground between fights that die in 2 seconds while doing negative damage, and savage raids?
Also, min ilvl is not a solution. a new player will never even know thats a thing, and it has no impact on the daily roulettes
The problem also goes further then not seeing fights, they wont learn mechanic either and end up endgame with 0 clue of how stuff works....
No thank you, if i wanna do my Dailys i wanna do them fast and not stick 15 min in each outdated fight with a class which looses half of the skills, if they would implent a sync system like wow has where you dont loose your skills i would be fine with it, but low content just dont make fun with certain classes so every min wasted in that kind of content is boring as hell
Then you shouldn't do those particular dailies. There exist dailies for people that don't want much effort - beast tribes and daily hunt bills. Personally, I avoid the alliance and main scenario roulettes because I don't want to spend that long in duties.
If people clearing for the first time want to spend less time doing a dungeon they could simply unsync it. A mechanism exists for them to clear it faster if they want to. The roulette system which deliberately syncs people so they can experience the content properly, should actually sync properly.
I think they could find a way to just bring back older stuff but then use the upgrade system to upgrade it. For example, PLD used to have Shield Swipe. They could just bring that back at lower levels, then upgrade it to something else.with a class which looses half of the skills, if they would implent a sync system like wow has where you dont loose your skills i would be fine with it
The problem really with making all max level actions available when syncing, is that it can be a good thing in that it better recreates the experience that level content originally had. For example, PLD having no magic attacks up to level 60 and only having Rage of Halone as a combo in ARR was the original experience, and being able to use level 100 attacks at those levels has the effect of permanently transforming the experience at all levels in a way that you cannot reverse.
At the very least they'd need to have a way to still sync the skills in the DF settings.
i don't disagree with you entirely, it would be so very nice if the videogame actually felt like it was a game and not just some giant interactive movie track reel but sadly until people learn to stop feeling entitled to have things fall into their lap or to work on "their time" we will never see any changes to this
but also you have to look back in time an realize there really is no middle if they make somethings too difficult? gets flooded with hate if they make it too easy? gets flooded with hate there is no solution and thats why in my initial post i put down that we have content catered too specific groups cause there is NO single solitary way you will ever convince the mob whats good for them they will be angry just for the sake of it an just to see it all burn down.
if you like more difficult an challenging gameplay? great they have PvP, Savage/ultimate/unreal raid fights, harder modes of deep dungeons and criterion dungeons to enjoy. ask them for more stuff like it.
if you just want to leisurely enjoy the game an be casual with friends? well guess what you can create it with roleplay, own a house or apartment room, build an island, do questing, do hunting, crafting, gathering, play the dress up game with glamour, snap photos in gpose, play minigames at the golden saucer, an play the ever expanding story for lore.
For example: Today's leveling roulette: Bowl of Embers. Fight ends in 1 minute. Regardless of ARR story quality that is a depressing first trial. I remember wiping in heavensward to the nail dps check because we had an arcanist who only wanted to heal. Unfathomable now right? It doesn't have to be hard but it sure as thal's balls isn't fun.
