But no, seriously, the only casual content we have is basically roulettes and maybe teaming with friends to do old content. It requires minimum time investment in either learning any jobs correctly or committing time to hitting yourself against a wall with a static or PF. If it's boring and you've been doing it for years then you already answered your question, you're ready to move onto something new, whenever it's a new game or more challenging content that will make the experience more interesting.

There's this insistence to put a wall between casual or more challenging content as in either you do this or that. You can slowly and casually finish up a static tier, with how long the patches are you have about 9 months between tiers to finish them up. And then again you don't have to stop when the new patch hits, you could just do the fights unsynched with the new gear and make it easier for you.

I feel like if you're not up to enjoying the variety FFXIV offers you're gonna end up bored out of your mind.
I mean, this sounds partially like survivor bias opinion, some people just get wildly bad experiences in PF and a load of people don't have the option of running statics, I've talked to a lot of people who quit raiding after failing to M4S after 2 months, just enjoy prog is kind of a crappy answer. Not to mention you're advocating for no new content for casuals, just for them to run 2 year old content when its easier. you'll have a niche amount of people who have any remote interest in that vs 100s of thousands who want new casual content thats fun and engaging, not leftover slop.
