Is not just here, but in any other MMO...As a whole Im just really baffled on how much some of the community is against the game evolving faster and partake in dev defending. Like its not their job to innovate, compete and be better, faster and more staffed with the money we pay MONTHLY
Example: We want chat bubbles. "But I hate how it will clog the screen!" "On and off toggle?" "STILL NO >" This was an actual conversation on the forums and I think it was said some JP players were against it too
People just feel so entitled they don't even want the idea of other players using something they don't like, despite being optional. Let it be features, cosmetic features, etc.

That would imply that people here are even defending square out of a desire to keep other people from content when they themselves have content when really they don’t have any content either, they just view their parasocial relationship with the game and its devs as more important than treating it as a game that can and should improve
People view an insult on the game as an indirect insult to themselves because they don’t want to be seen playing a dying game. I know……I went through this myself when RuneScape did EOC in 2011
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

Anyone who says 'no stop complaining, trust the devs they know what they're doing' should just look at RS3 and the EOC incident. When the devs receive no pushback and no guidance on 'hey you think this is a good idea but it's kinda not', we end up with a game that is permanently damaged. RS3 is forever going to be on death's door because of that decision over 10 years ago. OSRS has vastly overtaken the 'actual game' in playercount
Funny that the desire to avoid being perceived as playing 'a dead game' eventually leads people to acting in a way that causes the game to stagnate. We can see it here with the whole Healer discourse/argument, there's a massive shortage of Healers and anyone who's able to see the PF listings would be able to see that there's a whole lotta green slots compared to blue/red, but there's always someone waiting in the wings to jump in and say 'well actually it's quite full on my server', completely ignoring the multiple screenshots showing a clear pattern of 'people don't want to play healer in PF'

And I’m one of the idiots that still clings to the dying RS3 because I stopped caring what other people think of the fact that I play a dying MMO. I still have fun in RS3 so it’s fulfilling its purposeAnyone who says 'no stop complaining, trust the devs they know what they're doing' should just look at RS3 and the EOC incident. That whole “I want to be seen playing the most popular MMO” phase really robbed my enjoyment of games and my ability to properly criticise bad changes to the game. I was someone who played EOC’s beta and I refused to comment on it being bad because I didn’t want to criticise the game, and now the copy of the game is more popular than the original by orders of magnitude
