Did you ever play FFXI? Do you remember the beseiged events. SE can't do open raids. The lag is KILLER. I want to be able to see the mob attacking me

Yup. Nothing was worse in Besiged than dying to Mijin Gakure spam from mobs you didn't know we're around you.
If it being instanced allows for coordinated tactics and gameplay we can actually respond to then so be it.
Fun yes, Annoying as hell because you could see crap.. Bigger Yes!.. Large Scale content is only good.. if you can see everything around you.. or else whats the point? Instanced for Large Scale content I agree on ( unless 2.0 engine allows for 100+ players to be visible) then yes go Non-Instanced.
Don't get me wrong I love Campaign and Besieged.. but not knowing where anything was= Started to lose gradually play that content.
Morticous - Senior admin of.... well of nothing. (cool picture here)
How bout you wait to see how it is actually implemented, play it, and then whine about it.
I try not to visit the forums unless I'm looking for something in particular, so I wasn't aware lol. Probably should have been on notice though with the OP's necessity to place his name in the title.
Thanks Rokien, you actually hit it right smack on the nail for this one.
You've never heard of zone-wide attacks or King Vinegarroon, have you?
King Vinegaroon? Are you citing absurd spawn conditions?
Certainly the party wih claim being teleported to the mob isn't an example of a zone-wide attack? Because I recall it being a feature of convenience.
"Everyone zone in and we'll claim" boom, instant travel thanks to an NM.
