The thread topic was actually "don't send death threats to VAs" - which could have been covered in less than a page of comments, but here we are.

I'd say the intention behind the making of this thread is malicious as OP deliberately painted a connection between people on the forum and people who sent death threats to VA.

I’ve been playing 14 since 2.0 and I have not once seen the collective community go behind the scenes/character to do what’s transpired here, be it this forum, Reddit, wherever. Not the first time, but this…

I believe no on here thinks sending death threats is okay. However, some posts implied that death threat target Sena's gender identity, giving certain people all the more reason to accuse people of transphobia, despite the twitter posts which death threat was mentioned was made in response to a genuine criticism of her work.

I think it's very disingenuous of some people to use her claim to dismiss criticisms as there's still no evidence of her claim nor of forum's involvement. I regard such act as virtual signaling and find it distasteful, especially when people of the camp use sympathy garnered to lend credence to her claim, so they can validate their self-rightousness to throw labels and insults to fellow posters.


While it's reasonable to believe her claims given how crazy people on the internet can be, I'm afraid such line of thought is often abused by people who wish to pull out victim card in order to achieve their personal gains. I'm saying this not because I'm apathetic to the victim of death threats, but because this line of thought lays a foundation for fake claim to take hold as people would gradually see the benefit out of it due to no evidence required whatsoever. Naturally, people will abuse it.

Not to say we shouldn't believe her, but it's obvious that her claim was intentionally brought up to in order to shame people on the forum.

Many, many, many others of you, multiple times, have openly voiced your disgust, contempt, outright hatred of said character for ruining your experience in Dawntrail.

Let's say we ought to believe her because there's a chance it may be true and we don't want to miss any potential victim. We derseve to be painted as hateful, bigot, and transphobic group of people. What, then, would happen if, say, I claimed to be the recipient of death threats by being labeled as transphobe due to my criticisims towards Sena's work? My claim now paints people under LGBTQ umbrella evil.

Should people believe me? Since a foundation for "death deaths claims should always be believed" has already been laid, I don't need any proof or evidence. People should believe me, right? They're hypocrites if they don't. In that case, I'm justified to go full on attack on people who dare to disagree with me and people should defend me for my actions. I'm a victim, remember? Not that it would actually happen, of course.


I'm personally skeptical of Sena's claim because it exhibits a typical pattern of sympathy farming commonly employed by the political radicals on social media. It has nothing to do with transphobia. I would share my sympathy towards her encounter if the evidence of her claim was laid bare. Until then, I'll remain skeptical.

I don't know, my fellow height challenged potato, I don't know if you can get a pass until you see someone using "latinx" and your first reaction is going "Habla bien", followed by a swear word.

Fair credit to FlowerMilk, I've seen her posts critiquing Wuk and and the voice work in another thread. I doubt Sena or anyone close to her would defend her yet still criticize her performance. Even under an alias.

No one has yet to explain why the voice actor is the only one getting most criticisms, and yet no other voice actor is being targeted, including the international voice actors of Wuk. In Japan, they absolutely hate Wuk but they do not bash the japanese voice actor. It does not help that he is inciting conflict on social media as I stated previously. He brought this onto himself. It would be one thing if he was either silent on social media or had some good will behind him. But we all see his tweets. He is a drama queen pure and simple. Let him bathe in the water he made.
